I for one hope he stays. Lewis is mediocre at best and the reason why Cincy remains a non-factor in the playoffs.

But my hunch is after 14 years owner Mike Brown thinks he can find cheaper and give the fans hope to a team that is currently 3-7-1.

If they fire Marvin Lewis, they'll be back to 2-14 before you know it. Lewis is the ONLY coach to ever have success under Mike Brown...

Can we hire him to be our DC

I doubt it and would wager if they hire a new coach, he'll improve from the 2016 Bengals season record.

The Bengals have some talent. They just aren't on the same page, are undisciplined, and seem to be too hot and cold.

A better head coach can get more consistency out of these striped cats.

Sam Wyche made the playoffs and even WON playoff games, taking them to the SB.

He would be a improvment over Butler

I'm still not quite sure what to make of Butler.

We didn't have a pass rush and had some young DB's playing early, he had to be conservative.

But now, it appears the pass rush has found its groove and the younger DB's are playing better. All this with our best player ( Heyward ) out.

I'll wait to see how the defense finishes. Bulter is no Dick Lebeau but he might not be a bad coach.

They'll go after Sean McVay.

You can't fire Black Jesus!

They have to employ the Rooney Rule! They have to employ the Rooney Rule!

I think Marvin would be an upgrade at DC and definately an upgrade at TALENT EVALUATION.

Bengals fans around here would be lining up to hire Tomlin. Very different perception of him by Bengals fans than by us.

That would be awesome.......... Can you JUST imagine how out of control BIRTHDEFECT would be under Tomlin ??????

I hear what your saying coach but one must also realize the Dick L in general had much better talent to work with. Butler appears to be getting something going but also remember the talent his defense has been facing lately. I hope to his success .

Salute the nation

Lewis is a *****, the day he whined about Kemo's obvious unintentional destruction of Palmers knee, is the day I lost all respect for that piece of ****. **** him. Kemo played in Cincy and everyone knew he didn't mean to hurt his boy Palmer, didn't stop that fuckface from being all "watch the film, I know what I saw, wah wah wah. That being said, I hope they keep that ****** forever, he lost that team when he brought those no discipline idiots in and let them run roughshod over the entire team, and I for one hope he gets an office in that complex forever.

Marvin's seat shouldn't be hot, it should be radioactive. And a good example as it pertains to cool shades when the message gets old. Don't hang on till you get punched in the face by the fact that you need a new culture.

I doubt that Mike Brown will find anyone else who will work for cheap. Marvin has a job for life as long as he doesn't ask for a raise.

LOL @ this comment from this thread http://thebengalsboard.com/Thread-I-Have-Seen-the-Future :
"However, I think it's time to move on either with Marvin in the Front Office or, well, gone completely. He's like Tom Hagen, the adopted Corleone brother in The Godfather who, although a great lawyer, is not a proper wartime consiglieri because he's not Sicilian."

Can you trade black Jesus to a division rival, ****** franchise with inept owner for a 1st and 3rd? If so pull the trigger!

Browns would take him in a heartbeat. They have two # 1 picks, and no QB's to pick from! hahahaha
