He has sucked balls all season, ....until today. Today was like watching Martavis Bryant from two years ago, he laid it out for that long pass and made a great catch. That one-handed TD was something that belongs on an all-time highlight reel, it should get a name. If he can play like that for the rest of this year, and AB comes back healthy for the playoffs, and if somehow Vance can remain injury-free for the rest of this season, we may not even need a defense.

But the point of this thread is to recognize a great day by Martavis Bryant, he seemed to answer the call when AB went down. I hope he enjoyed doing what he did today as much as I enjoyed watching it. And I hope he enjoyed it enough to want to give that effort every week.

I just don't understand why he wasn't used more in the 2nd half. Hell, sometimes he was off the field and Heyward Bey was in for him.
No clue what that was all about.

Technically DHB is the backup x receiver. He would have been playing Brown's spots in certain alignments.

Because they were running the ball and DHB is a better blocker

I seen Bryant block decent many of times. DHB should never see O reps at this point of his career he brings nothing inspiring to the table.

Agreed. Honestly, I'm not really all that mad at the team, by rights we won. I have no problem with being legitimately beat, like Jax did to us. But that bullshit last night is just wrong. It may have lit a fire though. Our guys may want to give a big FU to the NFL and hold up #7.

And Bryant was great yesterday, could definitely see full effort.

I'm going to look at this as a "silver lining"... as in going forward, w/o Brown for a bit, this may get Bryant more involved and pick up the slack w/improved play. Going into the playoffs, they'll need all the cylinders and having Bryant involved and making plays will give the offense more depth. One would hope anyway

And here comes the random drug test for Bryant...although I would bet he gets tested more than most.

Bryant came up with some big plays. It's taken awhile, but hope this is only the beginning of seeing his big-play ability again.

Well, he certainly should have some confidence going forward. Hell, he even busted a smile AND was involved in a td celebration. Little things that show maybe he's finally got his head in the right spot for the year. Nobody is AB, but he has picked up the slack for AB in the past, and was pretty unstoppable against the Broncos in the '15 divisional playoff game. Let's hope him and juju take this opportunity over these next two games to really elevate their games. Get AB back for the postseason, and we're in good shape.
