Marcus Peters, CB Washington

so we're on the clock... Randy Gregory and Marcus Peters are there...
who do you take?

Tough question and decision, IMO - both players have "BOOM or BUST" written all over them; but, the value is too hard to pass up. I've always been a staunch believer that "adequate DB's/CB's" can look spectacular when constant pressure is applied. Will Gregory be the next Justin Houston? Who knows...IMO, he's very thin for an OLB - so it scares me. Overall judgment (if I had a say) - Pass on Gregory. I just think Peters is the safer of the two picks - I know he's not as fast as we may like, but, if they can draft a fast ballhawking FS - the secondary improves overnight...

Gregory. Peters can't control his emotions on the field, that leads to drive extending penalties.

I can read just fine. Your OP is crap. Period.

Tell me specifically what you disagree with. These were my points and tell me which isn't true:

1. He should be invited to the pro-day

2. He got in trouble during football games and practices

Those were my basic two points. Now tell me which on is crap little man.

if he was kicked off the team, why would the staff invite him to the pro-day? could be they're trying to save face with recruits by saying they're "fair" and want their recruits to make it to the NFL.

i believe what bermuda is saying is that the instances on the field may not be all there is to see here. aren't you one who says the FO needs to look into players more? if so...

and, who would you take at 1.22 - Gregory or Peters?

Top tier
Trae Waynes will be picked early, but definately like him.
Peters is better but has baggage, so he would have had to had great interviews to be selected that early.
I still like Kevin Johnson better. He could possibly end up being the best cover guy. He is my prediction at 22.
J. Collins is intriguing in that he is a good fit physically 6'1, 203, 4.48 40, but he just had a minor foot surgery. He is a junior with good skills but only 10 or so starts.

2nd tier
P.J. Williams - Has height 6'0 but only 4.57 speed. I see him in the 2nd round.
Ronald Darby - I say no because he was involved in the J. Winston sexual assault case. He is 5'11 and has 4.38 and pretty good.
Byron Jones - 6'1 200 very athletic and set the broad jump record at the combine. He is running the 40 at his pro day this week. Has good tape. I like him in 2nd two.
Q. Rollins - the basketball player with only 1 year experience in college. He is 5'11 and only ran a 4.57, but is a ball hawk and tremendous upside. I like him in the 2nd.
D. Smith Fl. Atlantic - 4.45 5'10 good in run support, good ball skills, and plays man well
Alex Carter - 6'0 196, 4.51 40, solid 2-3rd round pick
Ifo Ekpre-Olumo - 5'9 but is a 1st round talent. Recovering from torn ACL. I would like this guys to be the 2nd corner they take.
Eric Rowe - 6'1 4.45 speed and can play safety or corner round 2 or 3
Josh Shaw - He is the guy with the bogus saving his cousin story, but has good size 6'0 and runs 4.44. Could be a good boundary guy. He can also play safety. Round 3-4

3rd tier
D. Grant - 5'10 with natural ball skills. 4.44 speed. He may go in round 3-4 but does not have much upside so I say pass
Steven Nelson - 5'10 197 4.49 speed. Good pass coverage and feisty player thats good in run support. 4th round
Justin Cox - 6'1 191 4.36 speed. Ball hawk. Played safety one year and played right corner last year. I like this guy in round 4 or higher. He reminds me of Ike Taylor. (young Ike Taylor)
L Doss - 5'10 4.5 40, has good ball skills and tackled decent.
Kevin White (TCU) 5'9 and slow just 4.63 actually a better boundary guy than in the slot. He did shutdown the other Kevin White last year. 4th - 5th
S. Golson - 5'9 176. He is a ballhawk and runs a 4.46. He could also play professional baseball, so his commitment to football may be in question. 5th rounder
J. Glenn - 6'0 but only ran 4.64. Has very good ball skills. 5th rounder.

I have no idea what he is talking about. He is bitching at me because he thinks I besmirched Peters' character. I gave a reason why I think they allowed him to participate... Like I said. I don't think he read the thread before he responded.

I don't think the Steelers are going to take a CB in round 1 anyway. I'm expecting another LB.

I'm going do something good for my haters. Vader, you're right. NEXT.

So, another LB? What about Gregory???

So, another LB? What about Gregory???

Gregory won't be around at 22nd to worry about. I've seen him in mocks as high as 5th overall. Odighizuwa maybe in their range and he played both DE and OLB in the 3-4 at UCLA.

Well if Peters gets hurt his rookie year and put on injured reserve all we will hear about is the steelers with out peters.

Gregory is a top 15 pick! Likely a top 10 pick. If he's there, I'm spiking my football into the floor, and I don't care where it bounces until I hear a crash into my Kosta Boda vase or SONY HD TV flat screen!

So you're saying you'd run to the podium?
