Manziel ruled out

ENOUGH of this bullshit "any new grocery baggin QB will lay 800 / 12 **** on us" . I'm sure sarcasm is involved, least ways I hope but it's getting old. The mockery of the steelers isn';t justified to this degree. The STEELERS are going to take care of buisness and by that I mean they will score at least one more point than the brownies..!!!!! A win a win a win doen't matter the distance between the final numbers as long as the steelers have one more than them. THE FlUCKING bills / jets game we can not control but, the bills will win by at least one more point than the jets have. So I say to all the serious nay sayers, F-U-C-K Y-O-U, go root somewhere else. As for the sarcasm people, enough all ready, start backing your chosen team, The PITTSBURGH STEELERS or go home.

I hear you.... but Sarcasm or not This kid most likely will have a decent game against us if we continue to play our brand of defense. The soft zone with the 10 yd cushions will make/has any/every QB look good. And we have faced numerous bad or back up QB's that had a career game against us over the last couple of seasons. Backing my team has nothing to do with it. Our coaches employ the same defensive games plan that lets every team walk right down the field with short and medium range passes uncontested every week. Usually without a defender near the reception. I can only hope this week they will change it up. I will not be holding my breath though.
 
Is this defensive strategy not the same we have employed the last 20 + years? Get the to 3rd and 5-10, blitz, and a QB has to be spot on to make a completion. Or has to do it 4-5 times in a drive to score. (don't give up the big play) We always banked on at least one mistake to cause turnover or to get off the field. The last few years, the blitz has bee picked up and the the open man easy to find. (tackling is another issue). Seems to me it's the same D strategy that is not quite perfected yet.
 
I'm not necessarily a fan of Manziel, but I want to see what he can do once he is out of Cleveland. He never stood a chance.

Yes and they don't have a talent level on defense to make it work any more. They don't have a killer pass rush, only 1.5 stud LB's, and no Troy and Ike in their prime.

I think its how some retain some semblance of sanity after games like last weekend and that's basically to make light of the occasional ineptitude. Not meant to cause any ill will or extra heartburn I don't think.

Dude, if it didn't happen all the ******* time, we wouldn't be posting it. Don't you get ******* tired of watching our defense shut down a guy like Carson Palmer one week, then get *** ****** by some ******* no name while they rush three and spend the entire play trying to "confuse" the qb who has been picking them apart the whole game? I mean, I get REALLY ******* tired of it. I don't think that makes me less of a fan, the fact that I'm ******* pissed that it keeps happening means I'm emotionally invested in how this team does, and it pisses me off when I watch us get *** ****** by some douche who will most likely be bagging groceries next year at this time.

I'm almost certain our entire defensive secondary (starters and everyone else) has the game off via PTO request. Which means we'll be putting McClendon and McCullers at safety, Jarvis and Spence will be our CBs.
