Mack on the trading block

If I was the Steelers I would be calling daily, to work something out.

I even suggested Kevin get sore knees to make it happen.....................

I'd do Bell for Mack. We need an impact defensive player more than a star RB. The offense is already great at QB and we have pretty good receivers. Look at how New England wins with basement RBs every year. I think we could do the same.

I can’t see the Raiders having interest in a Mack for Bell trade. Bell is not under contract and if/when he signs, it is only for this year. He also wants to break the bank on his next contract, has been suspended by the league and a history of injuries. The Raiders can do better if they really want to trade Mack.

Bell does not have any trade value.

If we pull the tag on bell can we afford mack? if yes I trade two first for him in a heartbeat we add Mack to the picture and the odds we are picking 32nd for the next couple years skyrocket. I think when Ben retires we are gonna have some lean years anyway so would you give up 2 first for the opportunity for back to back SB wins? I would.

Mack is in the last year of his contract and is holding out for a redo. Apparently wants 22+ million per year.

Even if they somehow could pull this off, would they be trading one headache for another?

Be great if we could trade Bell and Chikillo for Mack and then Bud Dupree for an ILB!

Boys & Girls and all the inbetween,...... REALITY is it isn't going to happen. BELL has NO trade value. P-E-R-I-O-D. Even if he signs the tag you can't or team trading can't extend his contract as that date has passed. BELL is a STEELERS player this year,.....if he shows up and if he doesn't satisfy the contract year then he is ours again next year. He will satisfy the contract year even if he only shows up week 10. Face it, BELL is here regardless of football shape or not. MACK is out of reach for the STEELERS both cap and trade wise. I'm as disapointed as anyone here but was living the fantasy of possibly happening. Now I'm just living.

Compensation for Mack is probably in the neighborhood of 2 #1s. And then you'd have to give him a contract with an unprecidented amount of guaranteed money.

It's just so unlikely we would make a deal. And it would never be Bell for Mack.

Top RB for Top OLB, that's a fair trade. It's been done before. Remember the top RB trade for a top CB? The Clinton Portis trade for Champ Bailey? It's happened before.

And DIC, their cap numbers are within $1M of eachother, plus the Steelers are able to resign Mack long term to drop his cap number!

Thanks Cope and also realize that MACK is holding out for MORE money. Some have said in the 20-22mil/season range and could the STEELERS actually get to that. PLUS would BELL actually sign tag to trade??? Or can we both sign tag and then trade weather Bell agrees or not?? I'm all for moving BELL in this kind of trade if it could really happen but, alas, I don't think the universe has aligned to the football god's liking. Just need Bell/s URANUS to align a little differently.

Bell's worth about the same. He's the best RB in the game right now.

If there's an impact player I would not mind paying $20+ million for, Mack is one of them.

LOL, okay...

I would do Bell and a 1st for Mack.
But...there is this little issue of money. Mack will want significantly more than what Bell wants and we didn't match him.
That, and Bell would have to informally agree to a deal with the Raiders before signing his FT and being traded.
NEVER happen.

How do you figure? I agree that Bell would probably have to agree to a long term deal with the new team and sign his tender before we could do anything. But to say he has no trade value makes no sense to me.

bell can't sign another contract, that's why he has no trade value. That's why he is worth a second or third round pick.

Mack is actually holding out, and can be franchised 2 times. That's why he's worth two first-round picks

If Bell was traded, i believe his new team would be able to franchise tag him next year and negotiate a long term deal. The Raiders are moving to Vegas and want a star player. Bell is a perfect fit in a Gruden offense.

I think the Raiders are nuts for letting Mack go. Unless the guy has said he hates playing there and wants a change, it is crazy to let a young pass rusher go. Mack is the only real star on that whole team. Carr has been OK but he’s still not a top QB. Cooper has mostly been a disappointment at WR, more known for drops than big plays.

As far as the steelers, i would trade 2 first round picks unless they would take Bell in trade.
