Any takers?? We brought in Taylor so we maybe looking

My bad merge away

Love the idea of reuniting Tuitt & Nix, if his wrist checks out ok

.
Can anyone remind me why Nix slid last year (in the view of some) all the way to round three? There was a lot of talk early last off-season about him going in round one instead on round three.

.

Taken from a Houston message Board.

Just heard from my inside source that Louis Nix will be cut and is not welcome into the locker room. Soured every chance he has been given with staff.
JJ apparently reached out at some point along with other vets. Nix had the attitude of "I don't need any help". Doesn't look good.
Take it with a grain of salt since no Insider has said anything on Twitter or Social Media, but he's been accurate in the past (Bullock struggles two years ago, Andre asking to be traded, some others I can't think off the top of my head).

We really need a NT bad on this football team. McClendon is very average and to me, just another guy. Big Dan I think took a step back which really surprises and disappoints me. I don't know what Nix is all about to be cut already by the Texans but can't hurt to take a look. Too bad about the injury to Phil Taylor whom I thought would have really helped this defense if he had been healthy. I don't know who else is out there but I think that's where all the trouble starts with the defense when you're running a 3-4. You must have a dominant NT that can occupy two OL and get a push. McClendon ain't that guy.

I'd give Nix a chance....sometimes a change of environment will help. Plus Tuitt his ex teammate is here too.

Wait a minute ... some of y'all calling for picking up Nix ... aren't y'all the same ones who complain (sometimes rightly) that Dri Archer is a bust of a third round pick from the 2014 draft? Now you'd like to pick up Houston's bust of a third round pick from the 2014 draft and add him to our roster?

:boxing2:

I'd kick the tires and bring him in for a visit. Maybe ask Tuitt what he thinks of him and if he seems to think he's a good egg have him sit down with Tomlin and Butler to see if he meshes.

If you kick the tires on Nix, you're likely to cause a blowout. Bad knees. Not knee ... knee(S). Bad knees + Bad Attitude = bad decision to bring him on board. I hope they stay away.

Slim pickings on the DL cuts - lots of RB choices to replace Josh Harris

wrists can heal. attitude can improve with a change of scenery. knees? I guess can be checked out.. but if bad now in year 2,not really going to improve
