Looks like Landry is our starter this week.

I still have zero faith in lj. I think him starting is a no brainier though. You can't rush Ben back, the staff has no faith in Vick anyhow and he certainly hasn't given them any reason to either.

You have to see if landry turned a corner or if he is still a flawed guy. This offense is good enough to carry a meh qb if they don't implode. Let lj have a shot till Ben is back or he utterly blows it.

Another important aspect being overlooked is the fact its a road game. Its one thing coming in for relief at home against a team who admittedly didn't prepare for you then it is on the road needing to communicate effectively. We shall see Sunday I guess.

Whether it is Landry or Ben this week, Haley better put in a lot of dump offs and screens to Bell into the game plan. KC has a fantastic pass rush from the edge, and you'd better believe they are going to test Villanueva. Gilbert has been good this year so far, but in the past he's had some awful games.

All eyes will be on the practice field on Wed.

I can't wait!

Go getum Ben! Don't listen to the peanut gallery

Dan Wilkins reporting that Vick will miss this week with a hamstring strain.

Gear up Landry (that is if Ben can't go ;)

Did Ray Lewis phone Mike Vick and tell him about the wonders of deer antler spray?

I'm not sure who's happiest about Jones starting. My money is on Antonio Brown.

I'm sold on Gilbert --- he's playing consistently well but yes the Chiefs have pass rushers who will be dangerous at home. Would be nice to get the crowd out of the game early...they won't be too loud if they start to see 1-6 on the horizon.

Chiefs offense is pretty bad. Will have to monitor whether Jeremy Maclin can go or not (he had a concussion on Sunday).

Vick is done - cut him

Vick - hamstring tear

Mike Vick left Sunday’s victory over the Cardinals with a hamstring injury and had tests done after the game to assess the extent of the injury. He showed pictures from those tests to Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL Media, who reports that there’s a “tiny tear” visible.

Vick said that he will test the hamstring in a couple of days, but that his best guess is that he will be unable to play for at least a week as a result of the injury.

Mike Vick with a Hammy injury is like Ben with a broken arm.

Unless Ben is 100% well, and there's no possible way he could be, Jones has to get the start. Question is, what is his back up? Can it be a Shot-Gun Quick Throw or Hand Off only Ben? I say cut Vick, get it over with and Pray....

So now all the bashers want Landry to start. Knowing in their heart of hearts, if Landry ***** the bed on Sat, they can 'I told you so' and "Tomlin Sucks" the board for the rest of the season...

The screams for a Charlie Batch comeback will begin again.

Dude you know these games count, right? Ben is not going to be 100%, but if he's able to play, he needs to play. When did we start thinking that a guy who might be 80% is going to die if he steps on a football field?

If LJ starts this week and has a solid game, he may have written his ticket for this coming off season as a potential starter for someone else...(cue The Browns, Bills, Texans). gradkowski could be resigned for another season.

Or written his ticket to replace BR down the line.

Good QBs are very hard to come by, as the teams you mention would attest.

In other words, I wouldn't be in a hurry to move Jones. He could be "found money" (to use a pawnbroker's term).

not sure I am buying letting him back on the field at 80%

reinjure that knee and we could lose him for the season.

I would like him feeling almost 100% before he sees the field....

Unfortunately, that's how some here roll...............

Salute the nation

Ben is going to play

all the fags can just shut up now

amen

The thing that bothers me is Tomlin said landry would start because he was the healthy one. He did not say he would start because he played well or seized the opportunity. I get the feeling if vick was healthy they would start him. We have to have a backup Qb. Since they didn't sign anyone i assume they are either banking on ben playing or being the backup

It is what it is....sad, but true. I myself had the exact same fear.

If Ben is healthy enough to be the backup, then that means they believe he is healthy enough to play. I'd rather them add another QB this week to play behind Jones.

Faggotry aside, I think we can handle 1-5 KC either way.

Landry just has to protect the ball like Vick did, and we'll notch another win. Then Ben will be back and we can set about the business of winning this ******* division. Starting with Cincy's paper tiger punk ***.
