Looks like Brown is Open to a Trade

We are slowly becoming the teams we used to poke fun at - the undisciplined teams in the league like the Bungles and the Brownies with all sorts of off the field issues.

Joke or not, historically Steelers players rarely wanna be traded away from this organization. This is a destination and a home. Or it used to be.

He was our PR manager through last season. So while he does have intimate knowledge of the inner workings of our locker room, he probably shouldn't be stirring the pot.

Bingo, remember in 2005 or 2006, the Bengals won a game and Chad Johnson bitched about not getting the ball enough even though they won, and everyone here ripped him and said that's why they'll never win because guys like him care about stats and not wins. A couple seasons ago we won a game vs I think Arizona with Landry and AB complained about not getting the ball, and I brought this up and well everyone got on me saying AB just wants the ball and that's what you want.

You can also look at it as a swipe at Ben too. And we all know how Ben handles stuff like that sometimes.

All I know is for years now I look at other teams and the way they are run from the top down and wish we had a semblance of that in Pittsburgh.

Now all they get to talk about is this crap all week. Between trying to figure out how to win what is pretty much a must win game Monday.
 
could be because we have a **** ton of alpha personalities, all of whom believe they can just will a team to a win if given the chance.
what's awesome is this is happening in week ******* 2. the wheels have already come off, so we can only go up from rock bottom. right? no need to dig deeper and lose to another team we should dispose of (at least on paper).

Yes, I do think Brown is a tad upset that Ju-Ju is getting more targets and has more total yards than he does.
 
Dancing with the Stars, TV commercials, Madden, TreeHouse TV show, etc. etc.. He sure has gotten full of himself. Great wideout. Yep. I am probably too old as I prefer the Heath Miller type attitude in a player. Do the best you can and STFU.

Whats sad is that your top players use that as motivation not turn it in to some prima donna, crybaby shitshow.
 
If the deals were right, I might consider trading Brown AND Bell right now.

Stockpile 1st round picks. Get an impact defensive player, maybe even draft a true franchise QB, another piece for the offensive line.

I actually think we can score 25 a game without them. And I'm not sure it's worth the hassle for 3-5 more points a game. I think the defensive scheme and coaching suck regardless and is pretty much hit/miss each week.

Trade Bell, Brown... fire Tomlin and the staff. Draft young with a new coach and Ben can decide come next year what he wants to do. Hell, we might even be able to trade Roethlisberger too and get a mid-level veteran QB to hold us over in 2019 while the new coach grooms a new QB, staff and team in his image.

We might have to realistically aim for 2020 at this point. I don't think the group we have is going anywhere different than the broken record we've seen over the last 5 seasons. If it's really about championships, that's what you do. If you are going for 11-5 and limp into the playoffs on the shoulders of a banged up Roethlisberger and a defense you can't count on for **** vs. good coaching, then keep going the way we're going.
 
With this much weekly PR drama, it looks like we're the new Cowboys...
 
Well, they haven't won a Super Bowl with either of them. so what are you really missing if they did trade them both.I blame the front office for this. Bell is causing this, you should have traded him in the off season and been done with it. everybody keep going on,on,on and on. about to 2 1st round picks for him. they could have traded him for 1 if they wanted to. to put the exclusive tag on him was stupid.

Honestly, with his antics over the years, Brown does not deserve the benefit of the doubt here.

If Juju continues to have better stats than him by November or so, it really isn't hard for me to envision a scenario where he goes in full meltdown mode and things really turn ugly between him, Ben, Juju and the Steelers.

Remember, this is the same player who whined about his totally irrelevant streak of games with five plus catches being broken.
 
I often wonder if other NFL teams' locker rooms are as much of a shambles as ours or if we're an anomaly. It seems they are in a constant state of chaos and drama. Sigh.
 
Time for the stubborn Steelers front office to admit they were wrong, they should cut all the fat overpaid bums on the D line and sign Bell immediately for whatever he wants!

I'd extend AB too before they let him slip away and totally ruin this team!

Serious some of yinz are overreacting a little.

The guy was questioning ABs talent, I have no problem with his confidence.

And nobody knows what was said on the field. Let's just believe anything!

I partially get ABs frustration. The team got off to a ****** start and you have hacks online dissing him.

He need to be less sensitive, but I get being irritated with it.

Between this and Dupree DMing some fan about sleeping with his girlfriend, this team looks like a mess.

While I honestly don't care that much one way or the other, Ben's body language and lips suggest he was pretty pissed off. You interpret that little snippet, Brown's actions on the sidelines and his "trade me" remark the way you want.

Yeah I don't know what the **** has happened to these guys recently but somebody needs to slap them back to reality. And hard.
