Dale, nice write up for the most part. I think you pushed the AB agenda a little to much as don't you think maybe Ben was just saying the team as a whole was more focused and play better as a team instead of it being a direct shot at Aclown? Thanks for the article.

Salute the nation

I took it as a shot at AB. Seemed clear to me.

I think Ben in his own way slammed Brown and is tired of these sports media asking question as if it all was on Ben. Last night Michelle and her questions as if browns was this model player and Ben was the culprit got old, how many times she basically asked the same question and Ben stood his ground. Same way with the guys in the booth continued mention the star players left this team, please we all know how stupid Bell was and we found out what a jerk Brown actually was. Total disrespect to Ben once more as if he is nothing without these two that left. How nice would it be if this team played off the disrespect they all have received from the sports world.

If Ben says he wants to spend more quality time with his family this year, does that mean he is thinking about retiring or he is not devoting all he has to the Steelers.
The fact that reporters are reduced to using catch phrases in the titles to draw in readers should give us all some solace that this team is getting past the drama issues and wants to play and win as an unselfish team.

Not sure why a comment has to be a shot at a certain someone. Media gotta sell something

Truth. Alternative headline:

"Roethlisberger uses 'N' word in describing Antonio Brown."

Text of article: "Brown is a nice guy."

Anything Ben says WILL ALWAYS BE DEEMED ABOUT about AB. So I will make a few up....Let me give you a few random quotes and you will see that these statements are all about AB and taking shots at him....

1. It's all about winning...
2. We've got many weapons we are going to utilize this year on offense
3. The guys in this locker room are class acts
4. We are all on the same page
5. Our team this year is Special
6. Our wide receivers are working really hard to be the best they can
7. We win as a team and we lose as a team

Ben should re-watch Bull Durham and take notes on the advice Costner gives Robbins about what to tell reporters.

For better or worse....probably for the better.

Yeah, I remember hearing that earlier. I am guessing he feels burned out by having fairly innocuous comments blow up, such as the comment about Brown's route in the Denver game.

The media have their favorites. Ben isn't one of them. I don't care if it was a veiled shot at AB. AB can pound sand. The media can as well.

Did anyone else love the fact that he mentioned “calling out” James Washington, and how Washington, instead of moping about it, manned the **** up, talked to Ben, and had one of his best games last year?
