No I do not think he's doing a great job leading this team. Look, Tomlin imo is an average coach and no more. Here's a guy who had generational talent at RB in LevBell and WR in AB, and a franchise QB, plus a pretty damn good offensive line. Then on top of that, he has what, 8,9, 10 first and second round picks on defense but the best he can do is make one appearance in the AFCCG only to get destroyed. Then the Jacksonville playoff debacle at home where he clearly is looking ahead to the Pats. Mix in some one and dons and missing the playoffs altogether sans 2018 season when they clearly blew it down the stretch. Nah, ain't buying it my friends. Never have I witnessed a HC doing so little with so much talent.
The best we can hope for is an 8-8 season which will make Tomlin look like a great coach in the eyes of a Daniel Snyder, so Art and Colbert can fleece him of high draft picks to trade for this buffoon and we start fresh with new HC and staff. The guy clearly has had his opportunities here and was successful early on with players and coordinators that had been in place when he arrived.
Two stupid challenges lost yesterday that cost two timeouts that could have been deadly for the Steelers but thankfully we dodged a bullet.
