LMAO, new off-season, same old morons!

$$$$$$$
Cam's too busy dapping, or dipping, or whatever the hell that **** he does is called.

It's called being a team player I think. Something we all know it's an area Ben needs some work in...or so I read somewhere. Also, I heard it on the radio. So it must be true. Right?

So the entire OL forget how to block when he left? LMAO

No, they were designed to block for Bell and his running style making cuts off their pulling and trapping and he had the burst and vision to exploit that.

With the lumbering straight ahead backs we have try it they get their **** stuffed. It really was a perfect fit with Bell and our blocking style.

I watched over half the Jets games and they used a power scheme with straight ahead maulers and he just never had the holes open like when he ran with us.

I bet 90% of this board never watches other games every week besiides the Steelers, or only follow box score stat sheets, lol

You could even make the point that Bell made Munch a good coach. Or that he help make Munch's job easier here in the Burgh at the minimum. Bell leaves Munch knew it was time for him to leave also.

The Steelers are Ben or Bust. Mason is a clipboard holder and their back-up, hoping Ben tears it up. Anything other than that, we'll see a replay of last year. Limping to an 8-8 or worse season. They are putting a lot of hope and faith that Ben comes back stronger and able to throw.

Maybe this Maryland scatback can bring some life to the running game, Ben throwing more 5 yd swing passes might save his elbow too.

I heard Tomlin's boy made the pick, so maybe he knows something, lol

"The Steelers will not allow the realities on the field to dictate our schemes."

Fact is, if Bell was so amazing, he wouldn't need a special blocking scheme just so he could never ever break 20 yards or score a TD.

But hey, if you want the king of 3 to 5 yard runs - by all means!

Ben has been just fine in that area. Any problems he once had isn't any longer............

Defense's probably wouldn't have been stacking 8 or 9 in the box.

Well JuJu could never get open or beat double coverage and none of our other WRs stepped up to even be #2 worthy, so that problem might still remain, even with Ben back

Unless Ben feels comfortable throwing 50/50 balls to our new TE/WR hybrid draft pick

.@nateburleson on NFL Network: "Big Ben somewhat orchestrated them not taking a QB...they should have went QB. But look what happened a couple of drafts ago with Mason Rudolph...Big Ben wasn't going to mentor him...Big Ben is influencing the moves the Steelers make."

Damn.

If Ben was orchestrating the picks for Steelers drafts ..........why did he let them pick Mason R two years ago.... oh I guess it was not up to him to decide...
Same **** this year with Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love pick................. last time I checked there were no FO personnel calling players for their approval before they select draft picks.

Not much to talk about so all the talking heads spin **** to create a headline......... white (black) noise

Why?

You still think Mason Rudolph is our QB of the future? or if Ben goes down again? Cam would be good insurance, that's why.

I would take that big head Lev Bell back today too! Because I want to win NOW

Agreed.

You can't say that we are in 'Win now mode', when your entire season is hinging on the back of a aging QB who is coming back from surgery on his throwing arm lol.

We would be idiotic not to even explore other options, unless we are OK with another 8-8 type season when Ben inevitably goes down again.

Unfortunately both Art Rooney and Colbert have said in interviews they are perfectly fine with Rudolph as back-up, so it probably wont happen, unless Ben feels a twinge

So we are where we are, a RB backfield by committee and a bunch of WRs that need to step up bigtime.

Maybe we can go 5 wide with 3 TEs in the mix, I would go for that!

How is it ignorant? You yourself backed what mightguru stated. If you want to add in the white journalist go ahead. It(the white journalist) is true also, but the majority of shows after the AB shitfest started had the black journalist taking AB's side over Ben. And for what? Well, ratings of course.

It was ignorant simply because he brought race into it. Most of the time y'all are on here complaining about race being brought into an issue. My mistake, I guess I I forgot it's only OK to play the "race card" if you play it a certain way.

He simply stated the fact that exblack athletes turn journalists didn't care for Ben. It wasn't a false statement. The truth is when all this AB stuff was going on every channel I turned on that was talking about the subject showed their black journalist dissing Ben. I'm sure there was a white journalist against Ben. The overwhelming numbers though were black(all but one named Clark) That is a fact. None knew Ben, but they all sided with AB. Why? I say ratings. It was the trendy thing at the time. Maybe mightyguru had his reasons for his statement but ignorance I don't believe was involved. He was just stating what he saw daily. A black athlete bashing Ben. The networks had their own agenda...their ratings were in mind. Money is a powerful driving force. The networks know what brings it in. Do you?

Hmmm, so, you're saying that ex-NFL players on the networks bashed Ben. The fact that a majority of NFL players are black would mean that a majority of the pool of ex-players for the networks to hire from were/are black. So, of course, a majority of the players who bashed Ben would be black. That said, I still believe bringing race into the issue is/was an unnecessary point. He could have simply stated that members of "the media" bashed Ben. I feel that the race card was played and I expressed my opinion. I will continue to do so as I see fit. You feel that it was OK to bring race into the equation and you expressed your opinion. I'm sure that you will continue to do so as you see fit.

It was easy to question motives when former players defended the indefensible AB. He was so over the top wrong about so much. He was butthurt about not getting MVP like it was owed to him without question and yet these (black/white/whatever) commentators were all in. They made fools of themselves and here comes one
doubling down on the stupidity.

And that I can agree on. The fact is that most of the folks making the asinine comments were from the national media and not local guys. The local media (other than one nutjob on the radio) knew what type of person/teammate AB was and didn't buy into laying blame at Ben's feet. Now it's the national media guys saying the Steelers didn't take a QB because Ben didn't want them to. Funny how to those that know and follow the team, it looked like they drafted to address immediate depth needs AND they had already said that they were comfortable with the QBs on board to back up Ben (rightly or wrongly).

The nfl network is loaded with hacks that falsely attack Ben. Burleson, Jones, Bennett. They never seem to care if Ben's character is destroyed publicly. It's not just a black thing so I was wrong to say that.

It's just that whenever Ben's name is coming out of their mouths it isn't positive. Taking AB's side over Ben was absurd but Stephen A was probably the only media guy, black, white, Asian, Hispanic, whatever, that apologized to Ben on TV.

The same douchebags are always all over "Ben's replacement" talk any time they get a chance. It get's old. Lick Marsha's balls all day but never give Ben any love...**** that.

And, I can definitely agree with what you're saying here. They want Ben "gone". It's almost like his continued success is a personal affront to them on some level ... and it shows. As far as different treatment for the "Golden Boy", yup, Tommy gets away with all kinds of bullshit to this very day and they just either wash over it or try to laugh it off. smh

Aaron Rodgers wishes he could do that too...

I wonder what the two goofs sitting next to him had to say. The one guy who played a year at Harvard before his Young and the Restless Role and the other guy who probably never wore a helmet except Halloween had to say. Yes Ben tells Tomlin and Colbert what to do. Then great Job Ben. There was zero value at 2.20 for a QB.

Yeah

Stats are for losers

Yeah I did, I watched their games, he is just not a fit for their running style, our zone blocking schemes were made for him. And they hardly ever used him like we did in the passing game.

Its no coincidence our running game turned to absolute **** without him too. Our Oline was so used to blocking for him, they were a perfect fit.

Wait a sec Spike, 2018 running game blew? No Bell, but Conner stepped in and had 13 TDS and 1400 yards from scrimmage. I wouldn’t say it fell apart. Sure LeVeon was a big time player in the offense, but 1400 yards and 13 TDs isn’t to shabby.
