Some fun weekend fodder for you. Arthur Moats and James Harrison are apparently competing in the 2017 Pro Football Arm Wrestling Competition out in Las Vegas.

Per the competition’s Instagram account, the festivities run from April 5th through the 9th at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand. Their account and Harrison have been posting multiple photos of Deebo and Moats.

I don't know about yinz, but I got $20 on Deebo.

Shiiiiiiiiit. I'm in Vegas next weekend. My youngest who kickboxing, wrestles etc. Really wanted to meet Mike Tyson and we all would want to see JH. Mike is signing at field of dreams in Caesars today. Now this. Damn.

Technique, tendons, biceps and forearm strength! It's a fun sport and very humbling...haha.

I have seen super strong guys get destroyed in arm wrestling. A lot more to arm wrestling than strength

That accounts to sports in general. I've seen tons of weight room monsters get destroyed on ice and field in my high school days. A lot is technique. Pro's are really good at reaction/technique in one. All that was listed a few post before combined is all 2nd nature to these athletes.

My money is still on Harrison though lol

...genetics of having the tendons inserted closer to the joint help the lever arm as well. It's a **** ton of torque on the elbow.

I got some pointers from a friend that happened to be state champ. Explosion and technique...just like any 1 on 1 sports situation.

And here all along I thought it was about having a sliding weight in your 18 wheeler doing arm pulls while driving to beat **** out of your son's Grandpa,..............similar to Stalone in "over the top"

Silverback will "CRACK" your wrist in half,......with a smile.!!!!

Who is going to be the first to ***** that he might get hurt?

Not bitching but they did this in Australia a couple of years back with rugby league players...... ouch, you hear it snap

Yeah I cringe at the thought of Harrison ending his career because of a popped elbow tendon.

That would suck ***. I got a nice case of tendinitis from arm wrestling years ago that took 8 months to heal. ******* couldn't pick up two pounds without it throbbing. Of course this was just jumping into it out of the blue without a ton of conditioning or training.

Deebo would look cool in a big orange 18 wheeler cab.

Looks like the NFL is not very happy

The NFL is investigating an arm wrestling contest at the MGM Grand casino in Las Vegas that reportedly featured more than 30 current and former players, including Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison and retired running back Marshawn Lynch.

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told ESPN on Sunday that the league just became aware of The Pro Football Arm Wrestling Championship and will be looking into it further.

Participating players could be in violation of the league's gambling policy and may face fines. League personnel are prohibited from making promotional appearances at casinos or other gambling-related establishments.

"Had we been asked in advance if this was acceptable, we would have indicated that it was in direct violation of the gambling policy," Joe Lockhart, NFL vice president of communications, told USA Today Sports, which first reported the league's concern over the event. "No one sought pre-approval."

The contest, which took place April 5-9, is scheduled to be broadcast on CBS on May 27-28, with the championship round shown on June 3.

A portion of the prize purses for both individual and team competitions will be donated to charities of the player's choice, according to the event's website. ESPN has reached out to event organizers for comment.

In addition to Harrison and Lynch, Miami Dolphins receiver Kenny Stills, San Francisco 49ers linebacker NaVorro Bowman and Oakland Raiders punter Marquette King were reportedly among the players who participated in the contest.

The arm wrestling contest is the latest test of the NFL's gambling policy, which has been in the spotlight recently with the Raiders' approved relocation to Las Vegas. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said the Raiders' relocation would not affect the league's gambling policies.

The league has been consistent in regard to events held at Las Vegas casinos. In 2015, a fantasy football convention featuring NFL players, including now-retired Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, was scheduled to be held at a Las Vegas convention center connected to the Venetian. In that case, the NFL warned participants that they could be in violation of the league's gambling policy and face potential fines. After the event was eventually canceled, organizers sued the NFL, but the case was later dismissed.

OK so the thing is being broadcasted on one of your main partner networks and the players were supposed to check if it was OK. Maybe the league could have contacted them. Were they too busy not dealing with Martavis Bryant. Oh and guess what NFL, you are now defacto in business with Vegas. **** I'm sick of the NFL as an entity. If it wasn't for the Steelers I'd seriously go back to watching Canadian Football.

Raiders are moving to Las Vegas, but this is a problem? **** the NFL. I think I'm done when Ben's done.

Wtf? They want the Raiders in Vegas, but complain about players partaking in activities in Vegas? **** the no fun league. That aussie video btw, ouch! That pop was brutal

The NFL never got their "cut" of the prize money. That's the same reason the fantasy football thingy was cancelled........no "cut" to the NFL. **** this NFL and here again I'm so close to becoming an X-fan.
