List of things I trust more than the NFL refs

On a serious note. Don't blame the refs. They are trying to enforce too many bad and ill-defined rules. They also, IMHO, don't have enough training to make their rulings consistent between crews. When you have significant disparities on the number of penalties called between crews, then there is obviously a problem.

When the helmet to helmet rule was first enacted the referee I work worth was not inclined to call penalties when a receiver ducked into the hit. Not all of them took it that way.

But trusting the guy in New York that overturns on the field rulings? I trust auto dealer repair shops more.
Just being honest that is a lame excuse. You are a little bias because you are in that field.
It is mostly there fault because when gronk was coming over the middle in the jags game and was hit he clearly was hit shoulder to shoulder and after that the two helmets touch. Everyone was able to see that it was clear even in fast motion that should not have been a penalty also the P I on the left sidelines the receiver was clearly out of bounce and no where near the ball the defender did not grab him or hold him in anyway. He had no shot at the ball and and it was the refs on the field that made theses calls not NY. (not that I'm excusing them at all Because there horrible) those penalty kept drives alive and lead to scores and aloud the cheats to win. So thats what people are talking about how it is so clear how the ref are controlling the out come of games.
When you see this not in one or two games but in many games and big games for years now it is becoming clear to people what's going on.
Why no one has has not done undercover work watching these officials is beyond me.
So people are starting to understand and getting smart and not watching.
The NFL tv ratings went down this coming year it will be down for the bowl and will continue into next season because people are getting smarter and will not be fooled by refs that are going to make fake key calls to extend drives and help teams win or lose.

SPOT on. It's the control of the game that is critical to the out come. It only takes 3-7 plays to change or control a game. When the officiating makes those calls, it's easy to be the GOAT. The NFL has gotten away with it for sometime now by disguising it and the general public to blind to see. Add in the spygate / cheating / Ernie and you have the **** pot mess called the CHEATRIOTS. More games are "helped" in favore of the kr*ft owned cable or I mean football team than any other team in the NFL. Why wouldn't people be getting sick of the product when it is pre-determined who is going to succeed. **** the NFL and the CHEATRIOTS .

Salute the nation

I know, it reminds me of those mysterious caution flags in NASCAR for "debris on the track" when someone gets too big a lead. Gotta keep it close.

NBA refs......oh wait, same thing. Quit watching NBA years ago cause they do same ****. Never thought NFL would follow suit.

And one of theirs actually WAS convicted of taking bribes.

I told a gal I work with to bet large on the cheaters. They WILL win.

Oh they might correct some of it. But they will always make every rule up to interpretation.
So they can control the outcomes. Bottom line is a controlled league is a profitably league. Also understand they will make controversial call on purpose so they can keep us and the media talking about them. The last thing they want is silence. They can't make money from that. Just the truth.

My take on how terrible officiating is in the NBA is this: the league had an official on the mob's payroll, making terrible calls to guarantee the outcome and point spread and clearly affecting games ... AND NOBODY NOTICED.

Latest point spread is Pats***** -4.5. I'd pick the Pats***** to win and cover but if they don't cover and win by say, 3, I won't be surprised. Most of their SB's they won by 3. Can't blow other teams out when you're not playing at home and controlling the headsets and listening in.
