You know sometimes don't tell the whole story, but they often do reveal truth as well.

http://www.nfl.com/stats/team

Ben - Most yards passing in the NFL. Yes, that is partly an indication that we are often behind and losing, and that is because our D is f'n horrid. But, to claim our woes are
mostly due to BB's play is not that believable.

Conners - 13th in rushing yards. No, he isn't in Bell's zip code and never will be. Always being behind doesn't help the rushing production.

Total D: 3rd from dead last.

Total scoring D: 7th from last.

Total O: 6th

Scoring O: 10th

I'd say, O looks better in stats than it is (mostly playing from behind) and D is pretty well represented by stats compared to reality.

Can't figure how our D and STs are so poor under Tomlin. Seems insurmountable

Well he isn't the D guru some made him out to be. What he was good at initially was motivating.

But his lack of X and O capability mixed in with poor draft and free agency decisions.

='s a whole lot of suck.

ST woes go back well before Tomlin.

The D issue makes no sense

I don't care if Ben throws for 5k yards per game, if the offense can only score 14 points they don't deserve to win. Yards are for FF football players.

“When you go away from the things that you know that are provin to work you usually fail”. Tomlin and butler instead of working on the things that we know here in WPA to work in football, putting your players in a position to make plays, they are out trippin the light fantastic... “hey everybody look at me I’m a mad genius!!!!!!” The line between winning and losing is so fine in the nfl... but when you don’t put players in position to win individual match ups you lose easily. look at kc replays..one kc touchdown play, kc had ball inside ten yard line butler lined up Heywood, our best defense pass rusher, over the center where the center and guards could easy triple team him. Stupid. Tuitt next too him where left tackle, usually the best one on one blocker, could easy be in position to block him but even at that kc had help inside and outside. On the defense’s left watt was outside the right tackle where even if he did get around a massive right tackle he had to run a mile to get to qb... and kc still in a position to help out. Dupree and Bostic milling around in the middle 5 yards behind the line looking confused and out of sorts... kc scored easily like it was 11 on 4 that to me is story of Steelers on defense or lack there of and of our season... horrible scheming equals horrible coaching. Players not in a position to make plays.

With Gregg Williams coaching the talent on D, we'd be top 5. Whatever this is, is embarrassing.

The offense has been good, but not exceptional. They have only scored more than 30 points once... laid 0's in the second half in two consecutive games. Not great, IMO. Work still to be done.

In their defense (no pun intended) the guys (Ben, Cool Shades, etc.) did make sense when talking about how slow starts ruin their O gameplan of being balanced, as when you go down 14-21 points, it's hard to rush the ball as much as you initially wanted to. In both of Conner's big games, Pgh had the lead most of the game and could feed him touches.
