Le'Veon Bell's Thoughts On Kiper and McShay

Why single out Kiper and McShea? Why not criticize the Steelers for waiting until the 2nd round as they must have had at least some reservation about him. He'd be a lot wealthier right now had he been drafted earlier by the people whose opinion really matters. Players like Tom Brady and Antonio Brown have a much more legitimate gripe than Bell does.

I'm in the "Bell should STFU" camp. The entire league was wrong about him.... and countless others.

I think you're just a little out of touch. Follow any athlete on twitter and comment on their grammar. It's the way kids speak these days. Doesn't change the fact that this isn't a big deal.

Millennials are annoying whether they play for the Steelers or live in their parent's basement like you Insaniti.

Being drafted in the second round isn't a slam on any prospect. The second round is still a very solid drafting point. The Steelers liked ALL of the things that made Bell who is is, and the type of player that he is. Kiper said he would struggle at the next level, that he wasn't fast enough, quick enough, etc. I think Bell can gripe about that all he wants, Kiper and McShay are wrong A LOT, yet you see their faces non-stop as the draft gets closer. Again, he's questioning why anyone would listen to him. He goes to ESPN just like everyone else, see's Kiper's latest mock draft and that you have to be an "insider" to access it. Why? It's not accurate information, it's not some top secret formula, it's going to be way wrong. He'll change his draft 15 times by the time the draft rolls around, he plays his favorites.

All these clever little insults, yet I'm the keyboard warrior? Classic deflection.

I wasn't impressed with Bell and his rant. I don't know what McShay had to say about Kiper, but Kiper was on TV and gave his review of Bell and it wasn't far off. But beyond these two, every team passed on Bell in the draft and he didn't deserve to be on the All-Rookie team as he wasn't the best running back. There were still some questioning the Steelers decision to pass on Lacy this year. Bell transformed himself as a runner during the offseason and some of the best draft evaluators talked about how he didn't even look like he did when in college. I guess if this helps keep him motivated great, but it came off as sour grapes and completely unnecessary.

So what? Kipper and McShea aren't paying Jarvis Jones A LOT more money than Bell.

Guse? Is this you?

How'd you get my picture on the intertubes? That cloud had it coming . . . You're lucky my hip arthritis is acting up, or I'd hop in the carriage and come give you a piece of my mind. Speaking of hips, my neighbor Barney went in for a hip replacement last Wednesday. Maybe Tuesday, because I think he went right after his bridge tournament. Anyway, he forgot to have his lawn mowed, and now it's at least a centimeter past the HOA-specified limit. I know the HOA president, Dorothy. Her sister Betsy sure is a looker . . .

Wait, what were we talking about?

what's your point here?

It doesn't matter where Kiper or McShay valued Bell. It's evident that the Steelers valued Jarvis Jones more than they valued Bell. As a result Jones is being paid more than Bell even though his contributions have been much less.

Bell's grievances should start with the Steelers, not Kiper and McShay.

You truly are an idiot. I think you need to read what Bell said again, clearly you don't get it.

I get it. Kipper and McShay were wrong about Bell. So the **** what??? EVERYBODY is wrong about the draft!

You're an idiot if you don't understand that the Steelers being wrong in liking Jones more than Bell is entirely more relevant than anything Kiper or McShay thought or said. One cost Bell hundreds of thousands of dollars, the other was a simple opinion.

Nobody is more wrong about the draft than Kiper. Bell isn't bitching that he got drafted in the second instead of the first. He seems pretty ok with that fact. He doesn't understand why chumps like you even read the garbage that Kiper puts out there, that ESPN makes you PAY for. He then goes on to say how prospects should ignore anything that Kipers says about them, and only worry about what the NFL execs say and think about them.

Maybe he should just follow his own advice...maybe.

But every NFL team had reservations about Bell. If they didn't, he wouldn't have lasted until the middle of round 2. Some of those reservation might have been more critical than Kipers. They just don't share those reservations with the public.

I take anything anyone says about the draft with a grain of salt because, like I said, they're all wrong sometimes.

Bell must have cared what Kiper and McShay had to say about him to comment on it repeatedly two years after the fact and then telling others not to listen to them. In my eyes, he doesn't look good in doing so.

I thought he'd be mad at TMC for taking him over Lacy. Looks like a wash since they both made the probowl last year.
