Great...Move the admin staff outta Heinz before he shows up beatin on the front door lookin for his check. Take em dahn to one of them abandoned malls and set up shap for a few weeks. By then maybe he will have gahn awayz somewhere else

If hes under contract can the steelers dictate what he does for the organization? I mean can they assign him clean up the locker room duty.. ? Robinson town mall autograph duty? That would be sweet.

I believe your assumption that roster exemption means his time don't count toward season accrual is incorrect. He signs, he is on the roster as the 54th man...the exemption allows the team the extra man for 2 weeks. It doesn't count against Bell's season accrual status.
 
I was at Dick's Sporting Goods today and browsed through the Steeler apparel. They have anything Bell knocked down 50%. Same as the Steeler Store

Buy and then do what I did to my Kordell Stewart. Have a backplate with your own name sewn over. I put Holmes but that didn't work out much better

Well, he was a pretty big part of the offense for several years, and Tomlin has to handle this carefully. And if Conner goes down with an injury (god forbid he does), what then?
 
The 2 week exemption counts for him in regards to weeks on the roster this year. An article today on ESPN (I think it was) said there is now a question as to how the CBA is or will be interpreted if he doesn't show up in regards to next year. Most have been saying if he doesn't sign by next Tuesday, the tag moves to next year as it was this year. Now, this article states some think even if he doesn't sign and play this year, next year will count as the 3rd year for him being tagged and the pay will be 120% of QB money. I think that is BS but you can guarantee Bell and his agent and the NFLPA will take it to court to get a ruling.

I like this a lot. Have Bell run routes across the middle for every play.

Agree 100%! The goal is to win. He's a useful piece that can help us get where we want to go. Trying to screw him to the detriment of the team is dumb ***** type ****. Use him to our best advantage, and then send him on his way after the season.

This. I personally cannot envision any scenario in which Bell returns and goes 100%. He is trying to get to free agency uninjured. He said as much. Why would that change now that he is back with the team? Dude will be out there half-stepping. He isn’t gonna help ****. He doesn’t want to.

Agree with this and Sarge. I say wait until he shows up at the facility and rescind the tag just before he walks in the door. Then he can go play for the Bills.
 
It was stated multiple times today that bell need not sign and still earn his free agency next year. Not sure how that **** changed over a week but that’s what they are saying. Yes no link but all talking heads on every talk show mentioned this. I still don’t understand but whatever.

So if that’s a fact. Why return? Why return for only 5 mill, while leaving 10 on the table and risk injury for which was the whole point correct?
