The Pittsburgh Steelers were one of the NFL’s biggest Super Bowl contenders year from 2013-17, thanks to their ‘Killer B’ trio of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, running back Le’Veon Bell and wide receiver Antonio Brown. Now, it sounds like one of them might be interested in coming out of retirement.

Following the reunion of wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and the New York Giants, Bell flirted with the idea of calling up Steelers general manager Omar Khan about a reunion for himself.

“I’m boutta call Omar,” Bell posted on X.

It’s unclear how serious Bell would actually be in making an NFL comeback. The 34-year-old hasn’t played since the 2021 season, when he suited up for the Baltimore Ravens and Tampa Bay Buccaneers and rushed for a mere 101 yards and two touchdowns.

However, Bell was once arguably the best running back in the league. From 2013-17, he rushed for 5,336 yards and 35 touchdowns and recorded 312 catches for 2,660 yards and seven more scores. The former second-round pick was a two-time first-team All-Pro and three-time Pro Bowler.

Unfortunately, Bell ultimately sat out during the 2018 season after being placed with the franchise tag for the second straight year. He joined the New York Jets the following season, but he was never the same player and was released in 2020.

If he wants to rewrite the ending of his NFL career, he could try to reunite with the Steelers. But it remains to be seen if Pittsburgh would even be interested with running backs Jaylen Warren, Rico Dowdle, Kaleb Johnson, Eli Heidenreich and Travis Homer already under contract for 2026.

Sign him up.....then sign Ben and AB....add in Miller. Harrison also. Hampton maybe. Troy.....come on down. Can't wait.

I'm having boiled eggs for breakfast... and a spot of tea.

A bed of fried spinich with two eggs cracked on top, lid it until eggs are desired done-ness………………. Cajun seasoning.

LeVeon, you were once a great RB and did well. Once you started to expose your beliefs publicly, you started to fall of production and authenticity of character.

Move along and enjoy your “Life’s Work”.

He’s realizing his money ain’t lasting forever. And he’s only 34.

Old rock stars just announce another “ Farewell tour” 5 years in a row. Furniture stores have “ closing down doors sales”. 10 years in a row. Old RB’s are put out to pasture. Hey Levon. Elton ain’t signing your song no more.

Just another genius who most likely is out of money.

Mashawn Lynch was noted for not spending any of his “NFL” paycheck money.

He lived on other sources of income. (Enforcements ect.)

For every NFL guy like Mashawn (fiscal responsibility) you will have 30+ LeVeon Bell’s running out of or broke players.

He played well for a short time. After that he went berserk and now nobody likes him.

How did he go berserk? The Rooney’s cheap as* didn’t want to pay him. He walked. We haven’t had a running back as good since.

Candle in the Wind?
Sounds like he wants to be the……” ***** is Back”

Or maybe in theme with the 3 rivers…..”The Madman across the Water”

Instead his career is in the “ Funeral for a Friend” stage.

K…..I’ll stop now. 🥵

Hmmmmm…..correct me if I’m wrong. Didn’t they offer him what would have been the top offer ever received by a RB at the time? He wanted to WR money as well?

He was a dual threat and had a greater guarantee elsewhere. Nothing berserk about walking away from what he did. It’s not like we had a coach that was capable of taking us anywhere.

To summarize: he's going broke and is desperate for money. Tomlin doesn't work here anymore. Try a street corner.

I was responding to your “The Rooney’s cheap as* didn’t want to pay him” comment obviously.

I could care less when he walked away. He wasn’t under contract. His guaranteed elsewhere was after he sat a year. Which was his choice .
Hmmmmm…I wonder if he regrets that year’s $$$$$$$$ he sat out on now.

It was his ego that did him in. Wanting to reset the pay scale for running backs is notable but then going to the Jets and exposing that you aint Barry Sanders and need a good offensive line, certainly backfired on his ***.

Gronk did the same. 2 of the people you'd think would be the dumbest were the smartest.
