In progress now I will take off unrealistic options.

Lot of the DL didn’t complete enough tests so they would obviously go outside of the RAS for them…

Where's Houston?

To pair with it DK sports hits on their RAS approach.

Are you only listing prospects who you think will be available at 1.21? If not, obviously Carter and Warren.

Even then, they could always trade up.
I used the power 5 plus RAS formula . Warren doesn’t fit that criteria, Carter will be long gone.

After a bit of thought and reading a few articles, I think Jalen Milroe may well be the Steelers QB target at some point in round 1.

I am not sure that is what I would do but I would not be surprised if the Steelers picked Milroe. Tomlin is a fan of mobile QBs like Lamar Jackson, Justin Fields and Mike Vick...Milroe is a similar type of QB.

Initially, I thought it was Sanders that was the target but that might actually be a smoke screen to get another team to come up and either trade with Pittsburgh or maybe even take Sanders in front of them allowing them to trade back and go after their actual target. This way they can move back in the first and amass more draft capital (potentially setting about clawing back their second round pick, whilst nabbing Milroe near the end of round 1 (Kansas City or Buffalo may be eager to move up to 21).

Harmon another tipped favorite for the pick at 21 seems to have a shoulder injury and might not be viewed as high on other teams draft boards as that of the Steelers. Thus, he could fall into the second round and be there for the Steelers to come up for.

Shough won't be a mid-round pick. He will be gone in the 2nd. They will have to pick Howard or someone else in the 3rd or probably 4th round.

That would translate to if the Steelers were after Dart, they’d have to take him in the 1st. I think the Steelers have Dart valued higher than Mr. Shough.

For some reason, I don’t think the Steelers take a QB in the first. I also think more likely than not, the Steelers will not have a 2nd round pick (I hope I’m wrong but also don’t want to lose the chance on a player that can contribute imeadiately (think DL impact) ).

Salute the nation

I've seen recent mocks with the Steelers even taking Milroe in the 1st. Ouch, that would hurt but nothing will surprise me tonight unless maybe they take a long snapper or punter at 21.

As I see it, the one saving grace in all of this (to prevent what could be a an epic clownshow) is that Andy Weidl has stacked the Steelers' draft board and will be in the war room when they make their pick, thus, hopefully averting disaster.
