LeSean McCoy traded for Kiko Alonso

I don't think the Bucs would give up Evans. That's is a lot of draft picks though. I would love for this to happen and hear all the cries from all the Eagles fans around me...It is still going on after the McCoy trade, but it's only been a little over a day though.

my friend is an Iggles fan and would be all for this trade. He is probably in the minority, though. That is a crazy proposal and they add Foles, too? There would be a meltdown in Philly, for sure, if this would take place, but it's too out there.

No way in hell the eagles would give away that many 1st AND 2nd rd picks...if chip were to actually do that, I'd **** myself laughing

Rumors in Philly are that Chip has no concept of draft pick value. He still acts like he's a college coach targeting prospects. He locks in on specific guys he wants and that's it.

Supposedly he wanted to draft Jordan Matthews in Rd 1 last year and their GM had to convince him he'd be there in rd 2. He then wanted to take DE Taylor Hart from Oregon in Rd 3 and again had to be told it was too high, so they took Oregon WR Josh Huff in 3 and got Hart in rd 5.

Kelly seems to have won a power struggle with GM Howie Roseman. I think it was Roseman who won. Roseman was smart enough to see that the owner would side with Kelly if they were to butt heads and they were starting to disagree more often on draft picks. Roseman succeeded in having their roles re-defined. Now Kelly has full power in all football decisions and Roseman has insulated himself as the bean counter.

Smart move by Roseman. If Kelly succeeds, Roseman's job is safe. If Kelly falls flat, Roseman has no blame and likely is the guy to fire Kelly and hire a new coach.

If that is an offer and the Buccs DON'T take it, that would be worse than Kelly offering it in the first place. Take a look at the RG3 draft trade, the Rams and Skins swapped first round picks (2 and 6), then the Skins sent two future first round picks and and a second round pick. Yes the Eagles are drafting much later, and they are asking for Evans as well...But no first round or second round picks for three years? Look at how the Skins are struggling since they haven't had the picks to help the team out. The Eagles would cripple themselves for Mariotta's entire rookie contract.

I would say this can't be real, but then again he flat out cut Jackson and traded McCoy for a LB who missed an entire year because of a torn ACL...

If there is any truth to this wow but the article does start off with this:

This afternoon, Mike Missanelli passed along an e-mail from a fan who claimed to have a source inside the Eagles organization. Whether or not the fan really does have a source inside the organization really is unimportant, but the e-mail that he sent was quite interesting.

Again if there is truth to this the Bucs would be nuts to pass this up, jmo!

I was curious what he planned on doing with all that cap room. It makes sense now if they do decided to trade all their picks. They would need money to buy proven stars to fill the holes left by the vacant draft picks.

They had proven stars, and he's let them all go or traded them away. Kelly doesn't believe in the players, he believes in the system. He wants his QB, his OL and his system will take care of the rest... or so he thinks.

Or one of the best RB;s in the league with some wear on the tires is traded for someone regarded by most to be up and coming star LB in his 3rd year.

Look, I'm not saying that Buffalo didn't get the better end of the deal but to compare it to the Herschel Walker trade is out there.
Wasn't comparing it to the HW trade, was a comment on the status or value of the RB position 25 years after the HW trade.

From 7 high draft picks to a single (injured, unproven) LB.

I posted it with a grain of salt. It seems too nuts, but a few Eagle fans would be OK with it. It's a conversation piece more than anything.

Man Chip Kelly is going to damage that team for a decade or more if he goes after Mariota with a trade like that. Unbelievable that they're giving him the power he already he has.

Thing is-

If it back fire's? He would still get a college HC gig in a matter of minutes. And I am sure he wouldn't mind going back to college if it came to that. If it works? He will be called a genius.

Basically he is playing roulette with the already fragile hearts of Eagle fans.

I have a feeling this aint gonna end well in Philly............this is the beginning of the drain circling in Philly for Chip......2.5 seasons and he'll be gone...........

I wasn't complaining I was just pointing out the source, I do enjoy talking about this stuff. Thanks for posting.

Oh, I know. I didn't think that. I'd freak if the Steelers ever thought about something that extreme for a second. We'd have to get the next Joe Montana, Jerry Rice and Ronnie Lott. Fun to talk about, though.

I heard that insane trade proposal, and it's too lopsided considering Foles is part of it. He's an above average, pro bowl QB that can excel as a pocket passer behind a legit line. Blowing 3 years of draft picks is not worth it.

I'd go the Mike Ditka route and trade the entire draft in 2015 for Mariota, and this year it may be worth it. Evans should be traded for Foles strait up. Worst case throw in a conditional draft pick in with it.

That's cool, it is fun to talk about cause we aren't involved.....lol! I am wondering how much of this is true hard to believe a team would give up so much of it's future.....wow.

Cope JMO, I don't feel that way about Foles and no way do I do Foles for Evans. I know he had a nice year in 2013 but I just can't put him in the pro bowl qb class yet, I have to see more. As for Evans I feel he is gonna be a stud, look what he did last year without a qb, again JMO.
