Late Games

Ravens with 11 sacks (and counting). ****, that many sacks in one game? If I were Marcus Mariota (sp), I'd be throwing water coolers at my OL.

No ****. One shy of the all-time record gotta give those rats credit, they came to play today.
 
Mahomes is starting to come back to Earth. 5 weeks of film on him now, it will be interesting to see how they respond to some adversity.

Watched some of that, it should read Baltimore 6 sacks, Mariotta the rest, he ran out of bounds behind the LOS once and held the ball forever on several when he had room to run.

Basically, if you are playing the cheators then you have to get 7 on every position or it's done.

That and you CAN NOT play much zone, has to be man coverage and hope to force Brady to hold the ball, and pressure up the middle.

So to review, our **** *** tampa 2 wannabe defense where we rush 2 DL will NEVER work.

More than once I've seen the Pats*** RT grabbing the jersey of a defender as that defender is bending the corner on his way to Brady. Not once have I seen this obvious holding called.
 
NE has lost it's 2 games for the year. They may drop another one but they will easily make the playoffs and probably a number one seed. Hard to beat the pats**** and the refs in Foxboro.

**** is a gimmick. Bunch of nobodies always in the right place at the right time. Gives me a chuckle
 
In other news ... Are the Chiefs about to start their patented "swoon" after a hot start?
 
Watching the pats makes you realize how far the skill level of NFL football has fallen. All the Pats do is get 11 guys to do their job on each play and they win games.

That's because today's NFL player needs his coach to scheme him up some success.

Whether it's a diva WR like Odell Beckham who can't get open without a scheme or myriad pass rushers who can't get pressure unless the scheme finds them unblocked or singled against a RB, this league in general has lost it's ability to simply line up and be better at what they do than the opponent.

I hate the fact that 3rd and 2 is a passing down now. God forbid a team actually runs the ball when the defense expects it. Oh no, they put 8 in the box, we have to pass! We can't possibly block 8 guys.

The Pats don't have much talent on defense. They have a few decent players but no stars. Together they play effective team defense simply by being in the right place each play. Just by making offenses earn their points, they are a good defense.

How do they do it? Well, there's no way in hell a guy like Artie Burns would be allowed to make huge mistakes week after week. He'd be riding the bench.
