The 13 point lead was our largest lead loss in 51 years, congrats Tomlin another team record for you.

That doesn't make it anymore of a loss.. Stats like that are pointless. This type of thing will happen when you have a 3rd string QB in the game while playing against a desperate team with nothing to lose.

Heard on the radio that was the 10th time under Tomlin that the Steelers lost with a 10 point lead.

I remember a time pre-Tomlin when the Steelers had the lead in the 4'th quarter the game was essentially a lock for a Steeler win. Cowher lost like one time when we had the lead in the 4'th quarter and if memory is correct, it was against one Michael Vick and his Falcons at Heinz Field. Coach Tomlin now has 10 4'th quarter loses when we lost the lead. Nice!

Tomlin sucks. He provided it again last night. Why does rooney still pay him. He sucks.

He is a second string QB and it damn sure is not pointless.

He's 3rd string, he wouldn't be on the team if Bruce didn't get hurt.. and yes, it's pointless. A loss is a loss.

No we did not lose to Vick in that game we tied.

Cowher lost plenty of games with a lead in the 4th quarter, his great stat was je was almost unbeatable with a 10 point lead at any time in the game.[/QUOTE

I thought that Cowher had some ridiculous record while leading in the 4'th quarter.

I don't need to search anything, I know you get fired more than Tomlin wins challenges

Your posts serve no purpose.. just a bunch of personal attacks and bitching. I have never seen a positive post from you.

What do you expect, he's not even a Steelers fan. A Steelers blow out win and he's no where to be found. He's just a troll from another team to cause drama with the team and it's fans after every loss. He's doing a good job as long as there's people giving him that stage.

Actually, the awesome stat Cowher had was something like Whole Bunch of wins vs 1 loss when leading by more than 10 points, not a 10-point lead. That was before defense had been completely neutered though. Lots of people bitched about his turtle ball back then, because, I bet, those finals were not by 11 or more points and there were, probably, some pretty close finishes.

13 points is the largest lead this team has blown. REALLY. I seem to remember some that were bigger than that. 13 points is less than two TD's that can't be right.

This must be an "at home" or 2nd half stat, because I seem to remember some bad losses that we were up double digits...

Also for those not paying attention... largest lead lost stats get broken more frequently now because NFL football*under roger isn't really NFL FOOTBALL anymore.... not that that helps at all... :/

Cant believe all the stats you hear. I remember this one.

Pittsburgh Steelers 23 at Cincinnati Bengals 26
Sunday, December 30, 2001
1 2 3 4 OT Final
Pittsburgh Steelers (13-3-0) 14 3 6 0 0 23
Cincinnati Bengals (6-10-0) 0 10 0 13 3 26

So basically this thread can be deleted??

LOL. That is F'n funny.

The record is for HOME losses.

Now who is back tracking, didn't say home losses, just said largest lead lost in 51 years. Is this where we are allowed to just totally berate you since it was in fact proven several times that you were wrong, or are you the only one that feels they are important enough to do that to other posters? Crawl back under your bridge troll.

I think that record was 110-1-1 when leading by more than 10points in the game.

Salute the nation

I knew it was something crazy like that. My real point was to emphasize the "more than 10 points". Lots of people always say "10 point lead".

After running this through the jackass translator it reads:

I'm a little ***** that got caught spouting bullshit and, rather than man up and say "Sorry guys, I meant...." like the little ***** you are, you go on pretending like what you said was right. Pathetic little troll.

There's that game, an 18 pt lead we lost in '71 versus the Dolphins, an 18pt lead vs the Seahawks in '81 and a couple of other 14pt leads we lost too.

13 points is nothing.

The Ravens gave up TWO 14 point leads in NE last January...

Not with the coaching god Harbaugh on the sidelines. No freaking way.
