Lamar Jackson, the bottom is falling out beneath him.

His completion percentage is near last among starting QB's


His TD' thrown is 20th of 32.


His passing yards thrown is 27th


His passer rating is 20th.


Just imagine if he didn't have a good running game and defense to support him? Recently Jackson said, opposing defenses are "calling out our plays."


Maybe that's because the playbook is limited to suit you?


Oh yeah, he can run like the wind. Once he gets hurt, and ages, what will be left? I think we have seen his best. How far until he reaches bottom's is now the question.

RG3 had similar traits more accurate to Lamary. Once they get dinged and also Remeber the hits add up as well, their limited to how much they can take. Lamary has tooth-pick legs and that don't bode well either. Add in the lack up stairs and WhoALa you have an offense built around the main guy who can't show up.

Loved seeing our D hit him. It looked like Watt was given the order to go straight to Lamar no matter the play call. He hit him or was right there quite often. If he ran into the RB on the way to Lamar, great, but his main job was to get to Lamar as often as possible.
 
We respect Lamar Jackson, but we don't fear him.

Now LJ is starting to fear our D, and since out team cares nothing about the swagger of being the MVP, he knows he has to hang in to make plays against us. Problem is, he's on the ground in 3 seconds if he doesn't make that play immediately.

I will also say, Kordell was a better passer than LJ. Hell the 2 WRs that threw in the QB accuracy challenge at the pro bowl last year, did better than Lamar, who finished dead last, behind position players. Atrocious!
 
They game plan to his skill set and they do that well. When he is asked to do things outside of his strengths, he doesn't do as well. The rats are a well coached team and have a good team infrastructure in place to compete with us.

He is in year 3 of a 4 year deal. Since he was a first round pick, the team will have a 5th year option. If they exercise the 5th year option, they have 2 years till he is eligible for FA.

They aren't going to wait til his option year to give him a long term deal. If they are going to do, it'll be this or next summer.

If they get to his 5th year option then the writing is on the wall for him.. they don't see him as a long term answer.(unless he won them a SB that year, of course)

never know with the questions around next year's cap. I assume that will all be answered by next summer, but it could have an impact in their timing. If the cap is low, they can exercise his option. Also, depends on his demands vs. performance. Either way, they can conceivably wait till after next season, exercise the option and then start negotiations. They are not in a position that they have to make a decision.

Nope....this is all on coaching. They OC sucks, Hairball has forgotten how to coach...it’s just all bad coaching. But, I’m just following the OutCoached mantra of agendas.

We drafted Kordell in 95. He played 95 and 96 in the slash role, and could have been an all pro wr easily, but he wanted to play Qb so bad. In 97 he started and was extremely effective because teams had to spy him plus stack the line against Bettis and he had pretty easy reads and throws downfield... but he was so freaken vocal about becoming a pocket passer after the playoff loss that he was blamed for....

In 98 we got ray sherman as oc, and Kordell started running less.. as the fans were vicious after any interception, he began firing even short passes at a million miles an hour, which led to reduced accuracy, balls skipped to wrs, tipped interceptions and even dislocated fingers on wrs

Replacing Sherman with Kevin Gilbrides more complicated passing schemes didn’t help Kordell, who became a headcase... in 00 and 01 he finally went back to a more comfortable style and started running more, and even Won afc offensive player of the year in 01, but the Steelers wanted a more pass oriented qb and benched him for Tommy maddox

Kordel was a run first QB. Maybe the prototype of that guy who really used his legs as such a weapon that it totally opened the passing game up... he tried to learn the pure passing side too late... teams weren’t going to wait for him to redevelop himself...

That doesn’t mean LJ will follow that path, but most do....

Guys who have mobility but are still looking for the pass until there aren’t any options besides running or if its wide open... they make the later years transition to pocket passer seemlessly...

Lj... well one he has to survive on his arm he is TOAST

Also Kordell set the best season completion by a STEELERS QB of around 61% at the time. I know that seems absurd but I'm pretty sure I had read that somewhere. Just adding to the difference between Kordell and Lamar. Kordell was a better QB than LJ will be.

Have you heard Lamar Jackson speak? Are you aware his wonderlic score is something like a 12. Now he's blaming other people for his failures. The OC was pretty good last year. Now the NFL has figured his out.


We could have a closet Ravens fan in Mr. Kelly.

I'm not sure how much was the team trying to make Kordell a pocket passer and how much was defenses keeping him IN the pocket and forcing him to pass. Him, Jackson, Kaepernick, et al, once you take their scrambling game away and make them one-dimensional they are less effective because their passing isn't all that good.

I've said before, running QB's can work in college ball. Running QB's in the NFL get broke in half.

If Jackson's free fall and tongue lashings continue it could come down to Harbaugh or Jackson. Choose wisely rats!
