The Steelers are all in.   With the Steelers trading up 10 spots in the NFL draft last Thursday and selecting a franchise type player, it’s easy to see the plan for the Steelers. After having an uncharacteristically busy off-season, the Steelers topped it off by trading up to select Devin Bush. This move shows […]

I wish I could believe but I don't. The same inept coaching staff is still in place to waste the talent that has been assembled. I figure no better than 9-7 although that may win the division. If significant injuries hit, it will be Tomlin's first losing season.

Significant injuries can derail any team.

Steelers added coaches and limited some coaching aspects on Butler and Tomlin.

I think Randy will keep the O explosive. And the D should be better than last years version.

Sometimes a team can will itself to championships with a chip and an all team buy in concept.

Tomlin doesn't need to be the best coach, he just needs to not be the coach that stands in the way.

Every year is a wait and see. But my outlook for this year is a positive one.

Not that I don't see a rocky start, due to shuffling pieces.

But the finish, could end up being something special................

Aw man don't hit me with them negative waves so early in the morning. :). I know what you mean and I'm skeptical of exactly that fact but I do have a better feel for this year's team than I have had in awhile. Hoping more balanced offense and a much improved defense and someone to know when to throw the red flag will get us there this year. At least put us back on track for a good run. I like that we have the Pats to open and we're underdogs in our own division. Hopefully we'll have a focused group ready to go when the bell rings and not one that shows up a couple weeks after the fact.

I want to be optimistic and focus on the things that can prove to be positive this year and in the future.
We have a capable QB in place
Young RB corps
Decent FA pick ups
A better DEF
Good OL
Decreased drama surrounding team culture
Draft prospects that can contribute this year

If I’m the least bit skeptical it’s only because of the coaching staff specifically Tomlin. He’s much too arrogant and cocky to ever change his ways. Oh and now we have the infamous Terrell Austin, the same guy that was fired by the Bengholes as their defensive coordinator. And we lost Munchack who was irreplaceable and development of the younger guys won’t be the same.
We still have Butler and Bradley who I hope get better, and let’s not forget about Danny Smith. Yeah I can’t help be a bit skeptical and don’t think things get better until some of these coaches go starting with Tomlin.

FULLY agree with this statement and with the "*** chewing" he took at end of year, I'd bet he steps it up a notch.

I've got a feeliN,..........PITTSBURGH going to the Super Bowl, I'm in on the positive boat also...!!!!!

I see Tomlin more focused this year than in the past. I also see him thankful to be rid of the meMEme twins. I also think he got spoken to very heavily at the end of last season. Let's see what this accumulates to as I see positive in the end also.

For Tomlin to stand up and say it is a cleansing with Brown and Bell gone took a lot. I'm not a Tomlin guy but maybe just maybe something will come of all the negative media this off season.

Im most concerned about the defensive coaching. If our scheme 2DL continues to be used, it is not going to matter who we have out there. 2nd concern is the loss of Brown. Not sure JuJu is going to be able to beat the double teams. I hope DM works out and Washington continues to improve. Im also concerned about the TE position but i think that can be solved after training camp cuts. The good news is Ben should be motivated as i am sure he took the AB thing personally. Also the talent on D should be vastly improved. The D will go as far as coaching. I can see the team making the playoffs as long as a few things go our way.

When I heard him say that I cringed. So he can't handle some players and is relieved they are gone? Sounds like a coach that doesn't have the skill set to put his foot down and deal with spoiled children.

In 2005 there was a definite win for the bus theme. Everyone knew he was done. I'm so glad they pulled it out. Tears of joy were flowing freely.

If they made a move like this last year I'd say all in. This year its try and get a playoff spot.

As long as Shades, Keith Butler, and Danny Smith are collecting a paycheck here, the team is not "all-in".

T'aint that the truth....... That fact is still a head scratcher to me. The absolute least that could happen should be Danny "bubbles cheek" walking down the road and hoping big chest isn't speeding by.

I have Zero, that's 0 NFL coaching experience but still would have done a better job than Danny boy.

I'm all "IN" on a great season and SB........

Especially when he essentially created the situation by his handling of the players to begin with.

I like the FA moves they made and the move to get Bush. However, they did nothing with coaching. I won't believe they are all in until I see Tomlin not coaching the D and letting Butler actually do the job he was hired to do when LeBeau left. Either that, or get rid of Butler and let the next D coach do the job he was hired to do.

Hey, here's to rooting for the Steelers to make it back to (and win) the big game. But with the current coach...it is what it is. Maybe they'll surprise me

All in with a hell of a lot of dead cap space. Damn shame AB went out and clipped the team's knee with his antics.

They are always all in, this year isn't any different. Sometimes the offseason moves work out and sometimes they don't.

Myself I've been telling me that TOMLIN got a serious talking to last end of season and I'm hoping that lights the fire and ends some of his "no consequences" attitude. Also add in the fact he doesn't have to baby sit the meMEme twins and just maybe he will SURPRISE us all. It's a wait and see.

The offseason & draft moves surprises me but much needed. Unfortunately it's a reaction and not a pro-action to what's needed.
