Kudos to Haley and Butler

Except all those guys either weren't good for long (Woodley, Lewis) or out hurt a lot or too soon to tell.

Woodley was great his first 4 years, then sucked after his second contract. Lewis was good under his rookie contract, but got injured in NO.

It took Lewis four years to develop. He wasn't that impressive early on.

For some reason I thought Williams was a walk on....(my bad). For ten years, Tombert doesn't have much to show for their talent and draft efforts.

Salute the nation

PS. It was time for DL to go but one thing he was very good at was talent evaluation. Weather the front office listened or someone shut his picks down, we will never know.

It's not like dudes left and got better under other coaches with other teams. Just sayin'.

I think we played as good as could be expected given the number of starters who were out.

But the areas of weakness isn't short players (SS/OLB) besides Dupree (who we need to see more of for a diagnosis).

Two years with a backup SS, and a mediocre pass rush. Let us hope the FO doesn't sit on their hands again come free agency.

I didn't say he was on Woodley's level. I said he was good. And he was very good in his final season.

If you're looking for blame, I have to point a finger at Mitchell. He was brought in as a FA, and paid good money, to be a difference maker. He is not performing up to his contract, and is nowhere as good as Clark was. This is a significant drop off in talent in our safety position, since Polamalu retired, and the Steelers are still trying to find a way to recover from it.

Don't get your hopes up for them making a big splash in free agency. They never do.

I'd add Shazier and Williams. I'm hopeful with Hargrave, Dupree, Davis, and Burns, but I have to see more.

Shazier can't stay healthy. They should have made him a safety. He's just too small for LB.

That and he doesn't have any eyebrows. What's up with that?

Landry at the end was pathetic. He is a below average backup, and that's his ceiling. In the fourth quarter, he showed zero leadership, ability to hurry up, and played scared. He has no consistency whatsoever in throwing the ball further than 8 yards downfield. If Ben can't go in two weeks, it would be wise to see what we have in Mettenberger.
and i hate his wanna be porn mustache.
