It all depends. The offense will be fine but the Steelers need a few things.
1. Better defense.
2. Better special teams.
3. Find a way to beat the Pats****** in the playoffs or hope someone else does.

1. I think we will def see that with the addition of Bush, and maturation of players like Edmunds, Watt, Dupree, Ola, Sutton, etc. I think the defense has had a real strong camp if the analysis I’ve heard is to be believed
2. Agreed.. this is a must
3. Their window is closing in my opinion. It’s definitely doable

Sorry but didn’t read the article but I don’t see their window closing at all. This team is filled with younger stars and honestly not many holes at all. For the first time in a while we have great depth across the board. The thing I love most about this team on offense is we have playmakers all around and will spread the ball out even more. The only person it’s closing on is Ben.

That's all that matters. When Ben plays next game you'll see a huge difference between him and all the backups. Ben is a first ballot HOF QB. You don't replace them easily. The idea that as Ben ages that the Steelers window is opening is ridiculous. The window has been open and will remain open until he retires. Then it will slam shut until they find another QB.

The only window that is closing for this team is the fact that Ben only has a few years left. Most feel we won't have a franchise QB any time soon after he retires. Hopefully, we won't go into a decade plus long funk like we did after Bradshaw retired.

If people don't see that after 15 years, they are never going to see it.

yeah they have to make up for browns productivity, but as I see it the offense will be much the same.. The question, as it has been for the last 4 years, is where are we with the defense? There is your key to a championship, with ben of course.

Re: 1. granted it was only a scrimmage, but the first team defense did hold Mahomes to 2 of 5 for like 11 yards and 0 points.

Re: 2. the punt and kick return units were swarming the ball carrier quickly.

Both units look pretty significantly better than last year IMO.

The Steelers obviously did some game planning for the defense. They weren't going vanilla. They were blitzing and moving people all over the field. KC didn't show anything on offense.

I know it can fall on better defense. #4 point for me would be the old turn over game. The D just has to get some more int’s. And Ben has to throw less int’s.

You definitely did not read the article, which explains why the Steelers "window" is opening behind young players such as Washington, Conner, Johnson, Samuels, Edmunds, Watt, etc.

If LBs are still covering WRs in week 1 then we will know what we need to know

Butler's already drawing up scenarios to put Bush on Gordon
