I don't have a subscription but from what I read Dajan did a NICE job on it. Thank you

I know some here may have uestion so on Edmunds but ZI thin k he will BURST into the season and show us some expected play. If just a couple 2-3 guys can step up, it will draw the entire team up and I think Edmunds will be one of those guys.

I still think this guy was reach and could have been had later like third round.

I thought another team was going to take him right after us? Maybe I am remembering wrong

I think a few of you take entirely too much stock in draft projections. The guy was on the field a lot last year and already has lowered his percentage of body fat.

Which means he is trying to make that second year leap.

At the end of the day I bet he does just that. In training camp he has made positive plays and has shown TE coverage capable.

No, you're not remembering it wrong, I just forget who the team was. I know it was widely discussed that even he was surprised and blah blah blah, but we need to wait another season or two to really know if he was taken too early or not.

Troy didn't have the best rookie year either. Actually you'd probably have to consider it more lackluster than Edmunds'. Remember Bustamalu? Yeah, that was actually a thing. I think he takes a big jump as well, but just one fan's opinion.

I think Edmunds is going to blow up this year. If you go back and watch the last several games, he improved a ton. He is going o be a good one.

I Remeber that pretty well. I knew it was way to early to bustamolo him. My ONLY real concern was the amount of concussions he had sustained in college. I'm NOT saying Edmunds is a "TROY" but I am saying he will take a pretty big step this year and I'm happy as hell for it.

I didn't follow last season, did his brother look like a bust?

Tremaine Edmunds 2018 121 tls 80 solo 41 *** 2 sacks 2 ff 2 int LB
Terrell Edmunds 2018 78 55 23 1 sack 1 int 4 pdef S
Trey Edmunds 2017 9att 48 yards 1 TD with the Saints RB
Ferrell Edmunds career 7 seasons Seahawks/Dolphins 2 pro bowls 148 rec 1894yds 12 TDs TE

I would say Tremaine had a decent year for a rookie LB
Sure hope D. Bush can do the same for us

No way. People only think that because Justin Reid was mocked in the 1st round a bunch and he ended up in the 3rd, so there's a notion that if the Steelers hadn't taken Edmunds, he also would have fallen that far.

No way. Edmunds had a much higher ceiling than Reid. Reid can be a good player on a good team like Ryan Clark. But Edmunds has a shot to be Polamalu. A shot. That doesn't mean it will happen. Burns has the tools to be a shutdown CB but hasn't put it together. I think Edmunds is a better student though.

Edmunds checked every box with athleticism, character, work ethic and also NFL bloodlines.

The steelers almost always draft the upside player, not the safe player. They went safe with Jarvis Jones and it bit them in the ***.

Edmunds showed me enough last year that i'm sure he will be a good player. He did make some plays on the ball too so i'm optimistic he can make the jump from good player, to impact player.

Jarvis Jones fell so far in the first round that they simply ignored his combine failings. Liked what they saw on tape. But that same tape showed deficiencies as well. Like run D. And overinflated pass rush skills. Just a bad scouted pick. I want to think they didn't scout him enough thinking he was long gone before their pick. Either or just a terrible eval on him. It happens.

I think he was a part time effort player with minimal athleticism. The times he gave full effort he was close but his lack of burst prevented splash plays.

And then time the effort wasn't there, just ugly.

This seems to be the thinking among alot of the local sports guys as well, he was starting to really come on late last season.
