There was absolutely nothing Ju Ju could have done better on that play... i know people think you should never fumble, but the reality is there are certain situations that anyone will no matter what... the ball was tucked under the arm closest to the sidelines... itwas a perfect punch that knocks it loose... that hit on the nose of the football dislodges ot 99% of the time.... it was a perfect bounce that kept it in bounds... most of the times that ball rolls out... hell the ravens player barely out of bounds barely missed touching it as it bounced by...

Ypu cannot blame juju for any of that.... sometimes the other team makes outrageously great plays and sometimes the bounces go their way

Young players require competent coaching, without that chances are they never reach their potential

I just want anyone to point out what juju did wrong there fundamental wise.... it was textbook... the Ravens guy made a play... I hate our coaches but there is no coach that would stop that from happening... you can have two hands on the ball tucked into your gut and a full out punch that lands right will still dislodge it... criticizing that play is just bitching about the results not the technique or strategy ... those were actually fine

James is definitely not the future. Defensive player made a damn good play on the ball. Not sure what Juju can do differently there except to try to protect the ball better.

It sounds cliche, but that was a bang bang play and it was played perfect by Humphries. Instead of beating on JuJu, praise should be given to the Raven player. They are being taught to punch the ball out over tackling. It was a tough break for the Steelers. I don't know what he could have done different there other than hold with both arms.

Obviously,

Is there any doubt we use our first draft pick on a #1 WR or RB?

I love me some Juju.

but, fact is, he didnt cover up as well as he should have. AB was a smaller guy and when he'd catch the ball, he'd cover it up with both hands. Probably from necessity, but it worked. Until he saw he wasn't going to be hit or could get past his defender, he kept the ball covered. Juju needs to learn to do that. On that catch, he immediately tucked it (as he should), but also went to stiff arm the DB. Had he just covered the ball, he likely would have been tackled for minimal YAC. But we'd still have possession.

When you are advancing the ball you do not have two hands on the football.... again what he did is what every wr coach in the league teaches... the ravens db made a hell of a play, but the chance that a guy is going to punch out a ball on opposite side like that is miniscule... if all we needed was that catch to be in field goal range or to run out the clock, then fine, you secure it and go down.... if he held it in the inside arm, away from the sideline and towards expected contact, then fine lambast him... if he had tge ball away from his body and not tucked, then fine... but i cannot find anything in football 101 that says what he did was wrong.... not every fumble is the players fault... not every interception is the qb’s... its an easy scapegoat for fans, but it isn’t really a fair complaint...

I had to watch the replay three times to make sure he even had 2 feet down. It was that quick.

He was holding the ball loosely up by his chin while trying to stiff arm the defender who was right on his back. Wrap the ball with both arms and secure it in your gut. You may not shake off the defender but at worst you only get tackled with the ball at midfield.

really, now?
7:30 and change in the game, we're down to our 3rd string, undrafted free agent QB, needing just a FG to win in a tie game in OT ... and you don't have two hands on the ball when advancing the football? you typed that and expect us to believe it? I guess you're ok with Retard Spindenfall's fumble in the Super Bowl, too? Ball security is of utmost importance in that situation, not advancing the ball. We already had a first down, even if he were to just fall down at the catch.

yes, the DB made a perfect play... but Juju did not make a perfect attempt to cover the ball up.

Should RBs just run with the ball in one hand going up the middle on 4th and short or goal?

ridiculous statement.

we were moving the ball and had momentum. all we needed to do was advance the ball 20 more yards after the point of the catch to give Boz a FG try.

HIGHLY doubtful.......... unless of course we had one,............. first round pick that is. (disclaimer, I'm all for Fitzpatric)

Salute the nation

which movement was worse - covering the ball up or trying to push the defender?

English is obviously your second language so I will spell it out slowly

I didn't say FIRST ROUND PICK

I said OUR FIRST DRAFT PICK

which, obviously, is a 2nd rounder, unless we trade Tomlin to the skins for a 1st, which what any competent front office would be doing, pounding the phones, right now!

Watch this again

Watch any highlight of ward or brown or any wr running with the ball

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=APSxK_w56u8

Like hundreds of them... show me the guy running with two arms on the ball outside of when they are either already tied up or about to initiate contact....

Every wr in the league does this... every one... the DB made a play... it happens...

your highlight of Ward was him already behind the defense.
JuJu was not behind the defense.

here are some images of AB covering the ball up. And this makes me sick, since I'm not an AB fan.

Covered the ball to secure it

AB had three Bengals around him. What's he doing? Covering the goddamn ball up.

72345569_10220714657237017_6546331960778686464_n.jpg
