I tried. Went stall to stall, canvassing the Steelers' sullen locker room late Sunday night in Foxborough, seeking any semblance of a positive to cull from that 33-3 loss to the Patriots.

DK, I get it man. You’re trying to use that silver lining in the cloud theory. After this beat down the team will come together and rebound and I hope the hell thats the case but my concern is not so much the players but the poor head coaching. Tomless is actually getting worse if that’s even possible.Thats my concern.

If it doesn't mean Tomlin will be fired, no.

We all seen the weakness in our game but big question did Tomlin and what he will do to fix it.

Same stuff new year. We get all enthused for a repeat of the same song. Same mistakes.Same weakness. Absolutely nothing changed only a few jersey names. Same philosophy. Same scheme. Same failure to prepare when you had months to do so. Until those running this **** show check that ego outside the door and find help...The same will remain.

And this comes from a place of love . It's just hard to watch something you care about deeply do so poorly. It doesn't have to be like that. Do what needs to be done.

Week 2 is a must win for this team.

I mean, if you look at it the right way, getting hit by a car might be a blessing. At least it knocked you out of the road so the 18 wheeler behind it didn't hit you. Amiright?

Were all the other losses to the Patriots also blessings in disguise, or is this one special? The slow starts, the 0-4 start? The losses to teams with losing records? God bless? I’ll stick with God damned.

DK is a pretty big Tomlin fan. He almost never criticizes coaching, and relies on the fact that the players were bad, unprepared, did not execute, etc.

But when the Steelers pull this **** 6x in a row in NE, with dozens of different players and a number of different coordinators, I suggest the head coach damn well deserves a significant part of the blame.

It isn't the loss that's the issue for me. It's seeing Ben and those WRs look like they've never played together. It's watching the defense look worse than last year abomination. The Steelers aren't going 3-13 or 5-11. They'll win 9-11 games. Seattle almost lost to the bungles at home. So the Steelers will win games. But they won't win in the playoffs if they get there. That's why in a few weeks when the record looks good people will jump back on the Tomlin express. After he fails to make the playoff or loses early in the playoffs people will jump off. Then they'll have a great draft then it's all aboard.

Sorry, I've seen this for too many years. Tomlin needs to go if he doesn't make the SB this year. Remember all the distractions are gone. Bush is a great ILB that will easy all of our worries. The WRs are the best in football. JuJu won't suffer because he's great and doesn't need another WR on the other side.

Wash, rinse, repeat. I know I'm guilty of it.

I've just never had this disgusted a feeling about this Coach and this league than I do right now.

there was 0 adjustment everyone for the past years has seen Brady top target will always be a combo to white & Edelman, all we had to do was put Edmunds on white or Bush. Butler's dumb *** needs to take Vince out in the nickel unless he is going to blitz him the guy cant drop back more than 5-7 yards. I thought that was the whole point of signing Barron who was S until it noted he does not have good enough SS speed and is more a in the box LB/S
rarely saw 3-2-6
A child can see that 2-4-5 vs a physical when they take Heyward out and have tuitt running side to side the others LB's will get pushed that is where the outside zone and tosses to white got them going on the 1st TD.

I think it is fair. Off-season I liked the way the depth looked. And they follow that up with that abomination in cheatland. No excuses this year. One and done in the playoffs or no playoffs? I will be wanting blood.

I started getting this feeling after the GB SB debacle. When the OC basically says that he didn't go after their safeties and CB's even though the starters got hurt because "We do what we do".. my eyes almost popped out of my head. Then the HC wants to keep that moron on the staff. He even goes to Rooney to get him his "bread". Something is wrong. Then I saw failure after failure in the playoffs. Losing to Denver. I know the Steelers had injuries but they were playing Tim Tebow not John Elway. Then when you see that all their playoff success came against backup QBs.. something is wrong. They haven't beat a real QB in a playoff game since Flacco in 2010. If you don't think he's a very good QB you have to go back to when Cowher's 05 team beat Hasselbeck.

If you look at it you'll see Tomlin's teams have never beaten a good QB in the playoffs. Cowher's 05' team beat 2 in Hasselbeck and Manning. They also beat Plummer but I guess is he about the same as Flacco.

Fact is I'm tired of this. I'm sick of coach cliche' spouting BS every year and never delivering on anything. He's won nothing since Cowher's main core of players left. And that is with a defense brimming full of 1st and 2nd round draft picks, a HOF QB, great RB, great WRs, great OL. WTF else does he need? I'm done with this clown.

Delusional hometown press ... I am going to have to subtract a game for this

So 7-9 it is

You think this was bad?

If we make it to the playoffs and if we advance in the playoffs we will have to play the Patsterisks in their house again. They will hang forty or fifty on us then.

Not worried about that happening at all.

The first part, not the second.
