Why wouldn't you just wing it and see what happens. Who knows the receiver might run it in for a TD or you get a DPI within field goal range. Sure it could get picked off but odds are it won't get run back for a td. What a waste of a possession

Because a pick six could happen. Our defense can’t tackle, so we don’t want our offense trying to do so on a wasted play.

Or a useless injury.

You could turn the ball over. Ben could get clobbered and have to leave the game. The only successful play is a touchdown and the odds of that happening are not good.

Or a strip sack fumble returned for a TD. You don't take chances there.

With 1 second deep in your own territory no.

Ahhh **** all yinz. Especially you Atlanta and your ******* Braves. :)

Blessed aren't the meek in this league. :)

You got your Bold play on the fake FG. I for one thought it was the right call and offered two possible things. 1. We almost converted. 2. It ensures time would be left on the clock. The last team with the ball was going to win today (but for turnovers). Brees was going to score regardless because he had four downs in that scenario. If we had been up by only three then it’s totally different.

Better question is how you get behind with 40 seconds and no timeouts you just have to tackle I the field of play. This team is so Goddamn bad at situational football.
