Kevin Greene

Greene probably won’t be coaching in any capacity for the next several months since he’s having hip replacement surgery. Kinda hard to coach while in physical rehab.

This was what I was going to mention as the real reason we may not see this happen.

Eh, my cousin got a new hip a couple years ago and was up and walking in a week.

I don't know if you've seen coaches at every level, are either to old or to fat and out of shape to move anyways. ;)

Just keep trying to find reasons. The fact that you're agreeing with Coach shows how desperate some of you have become to find a reason to devalue Tomlin lol

Justin, to be fair, I don't have to look very hard for reasons to devalue Tomlin:

  1. One championship in 13 years, which he won in his SECOND season with a roster almost completely made up by his predecessors.
  2. No playoff win since 2017, despite having Roethlisberger, Bell, Brown, JJSS, Conner, etc.
  3. Lost at home in playoffs to a pretty mediocre Jags team.
  4. Terrible time management vs. Raiders. Ended the game having a timeout left?? Inexcusable.
  5. Started 7-2-1 this year, did not make playoffs.
  6. Led Chargers 23-7 at half, lost game.
  7. Rang up 527 yards of offense against a mediocre Denver team, lost game.
  8. Hung on too long with Boswell, cost the team a win in the process.
  9. Has never drafted or developed a decent backup QB in his tenure.
  10. For some reason, cannot develop a decent secondary. His best player, Haden, came from Cleveland.
  11. A litany of failed CB draft picks, some of them fairly high in the draft - Burns, Golson, Grant, etc.

Those are Tomlin's.

Are there any former Steelers we don't want to come back and coach? It's worked out so well to this point. SMH. Tomlin needs coaches who know what they're doing, not alumni for fans to fawn over. I know, Greene is on his way to a HOF coaching career.

Yep, I agree, and when Cowher retired and it came down to Whiz, Grimm, and Tomlin. I wanted them to hire Tomlin. He's just not that good of a coach.

If it came down to only the two (grim smutt or whiz) ,........I wanted Whizenhunt but my heart feeling was I wanted someone from outside the organization and that meant TOMLIN. I think he has regressed in many areas due to him listening to his hype and the NON-losing season is way way overhyped due to having a FRANCHISE HOF QB at your disposal and a GREAT many talented in your arsenal. Non-losing seasons is drastically under-achieving given the talent he inherited and achieved through his tenure.

THIS year is tell tale and if he falls short, then his legnth of time needs drastically cut short, 5minutes after we are out of the playoffs unless it's to hoist the Lombardi.

Salute the nation
