kenny PICKett

Here's the thing, when Ben Roethlisberger started, the coach was intelligent enough to know he needed to limit his throws and depend on a dominant running game.

That coach understood the young QB needed a strong running game, so they focused on having a strong running game.

Our coach now, he's an idiot. He's going to throw 35 to 60 times a game. They're NOT going to run the ball because they don't WORK on it. It's just not that big a deal and regardless of his talent, Kenny is going to at best be mediocre. I mean, unless he's an absolute m************ Hall of famer, he's going to be mediocre because the coach won't give him a fighting chance to succeed.
i really have some hope here though. Canada must be getting somebody in his ear because we saw last week: there wasn't motion on every single f*ckin play.

That **** was embarrassing. don't get me wrong, there was alot of motion but jfc. When you are using motion to try and slow defenders in the box, you really aren't working frequently on rushing the ball.

Here's to alot more pressure on the obvious - in terms of offense strategy:
pass in the middle of the field,
forget gap-blocking,
rush on the outside and

try NOT to put it all on the Rook's shoulders.

Kevin Dotson on both plays...oof! That dude should not be in the pro's...
It's funny how he played so well for the injured Decastro and now sucks. Like I said before, our OL brain trust sucks because they can't figure out that Dotson was a RG in college and James Daniels was a LG in college and perhaps they should switch them to their more normal positions to see if that would help - but nope!

I am super tired of this staff thinking that they know better than God how to play things like this. Getting all cute is rarely the answer.

Tomlin is probably closer to the end here than many think… coaches get burnout and the dude can pick his choice of media roles when he decides to leave.. frankly if he wins another Super Bowl, I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends it there.. but even if not, the grind will get to him soon

Cheating coaches must not have to work as hard giving them longer careers.

I know it works for QBs

Salute the nation

This is a hard one to figure out. I always bring up how they had Dupree on the wrong side to start his career and that slowed his development. They started Watt on the wrong side as well.

I'm a firm #2. With that said, I was a number 3 and 9 (to a degree) after the draft. Kenny put up the numbers he did in his final year because I thought it took 5 years for things to click for him. We don't have 5 years for things to click for him with the Steelers. I was a 9 because I was hoping for some big uglies up front. The way our line sucked last year, I wanted OL in round 1-2, or at least in round 1 and a damn good FA signing at least! I'm one of those staunch trench guys. I could give a **** about a high pedigree RB or WR's. A great line will take you places!

Buffalo is missing 4 players out of the secondary today. There is no better opportunity for Pickett to get right straight out of the gate and put up some points. I am hopeful and pumped. I just hope the coaches don’t put cuffs on him.

I am extremely hopeful, howevee McDermott is very good at developing DB… which is why I was happy with us getting Wallace…

I don’t think this guy ever sniffs the AFC championship again let alone the super bowl. Just don’t think he can overcome his own game time deficiencies as a coach. But any given Sunday I suppose.
