Kemoeatu is suing the Steelers..

I hope he dies before he sees a single penny.

I hope he dies before he sees a single penny.

kind of harsh........... wouldn't you say????

Or he raped Pittsburgh for far more than Ben in Millidgeville could ever dream of.

Now it's not so funny huh?

Ev idently, this must be a not so funny dream.......................... As far as rape goes, some of your post(s) rape us of the time spent to read...Have a great day and keep the smile......PEACE

Ah....what he said was terrible, I would never question any of you guys as far as devoted fans; as decent human beings? Oh yeah.

Hence Ben being included.

My sister-in-law is dating a fellow who is actually personal friends with Chris. His brother Ma'ake apparently gave him a kidney so Chris could live.

It seems that Chris, is not doing well at all. I don't know anything about the law suit or anything else, but before you go making ***** of yourselves, you should know that Chris considers himself a lifelong Steeler, is a devoted former player and apparently the "lawsuit" is one of those "going after everyone" things. He's not specifically "suing the Steelers" As I understand it, the insurance folks are driving the bus.

I could post a photo of his Christmas tree however from this year if you'd like. It was completely decorated in black and gold. So before you go wishing death upon him Ford or ***** about his contract, consider that he was offered a contract from management and signed it, just like any one of us would have done in the same position.

I was just as frustrated as anyone when he or any other player made a bone-headed play, but I sure as **** couldn't do any better. So, while I admire your glass house, be forewarned that I have a car trunk FULL of rocks.

Thank you. There are some serious ******** posting in this thread which needed to be called out.

Context is everything - thanks for posting. This is probably driven by the lawyers, who will always go where the money is despite culpability. I once heard a lawyer say "sue everyone involved" with the idea that the system will make "someone" pay.

I am sick of all these sue happy former NFL players that made MILLIONS and then want more because they are too stupid to save their money. Steelers overpaid for his and Simmons services because of the hope they'd perform up to their contract. It was a calculated risk that just didn't pay off in the end. Hey, poor front office decisions not either of the players deserved their contracts so why wouldn't they sign? But to sue after all these years? Really? Maybe it's harsh but I don't care anymore if these guys didn't stick their money into some mutual funds and annuities it's their own stupidity and they shouldn't come back wanting more. I mean he literally caused us to LOSE a super bowl. 100% his fault. Doug Legursky had to replace Pouncey and the Pack had Raji set right up on him all day and Legs held his own. Kemoeatoomuch on the other hand got man handled ALL DAY LONG. I never saw a such a pathetic display of offensive line play in my LIFE.

If he went on with his life and I never had to hear his name again I wouldn't have cared. But after losing a superbowl as an offensive lineman to sue the team who made you a millionaire for sucking just doesn't sit well with me. **** him.

So, if he had played better I guess he'd have a right to complain about his destroyed kidneys.

What about the money that is impossible to quantify (probably in the billions)that the NFL has made over the decades by marketing the "big hits" in tv promos and then even video media over the decades of the most violent collisions to gain more fans and thus more revenue?

Do the names Mike Webster or Justin Strzelczyk sound familiar?

The NFL has known since its inception of the possible consequences to the players from engaging in the game. True ,concussion research has really advanced in the last two decades, but they knew.

Where there's smoke there's fire, and all the cared about was their bottom line.

You think they are all of a sudden concerned with "player safety" or with future payouts?

If there are 2 sports where the players deserve big money, it's Hockey and Football.

They're trading their bodies for our sick entertainment. That's the bottom line. Watch golf if you prefer sports with less likelihood of litigation.

Do you think these apes are so stupid that they don't realize at the time that they are big strong men running into other big strong men and it's bad for their bodies? If they are that dumb they never had much to lose in the first place. But they make million doing it. Ask a mason worker how their knees feel when they are 50 or their back. Oh, for 45k a year they destroy their bodies building the multi-billion dollar stadiums these guys get to play in for millions. What type of retirement do you think a masonry worker has compared to an NFL player? The biggest gripe I have with the NFL is that is considered a "non-profit". That is complete BS and I would tax them and back tax the NFL for the last 50 years if I was the President because that is bull crap. Just like multi branch credit unions claiming their "non-profit" all the while paying their top people ridiculous bonuses. Same concept.

Back to the NFL. How about the kids in HS or College who get concussions or permanent body damage for maybe the fun of it or if they are lucky a scholarship? Lets worry about them before these multi-millionaires who are getting paid a kings ransom to play the game.

NFL teams pay taxes. The vast, vast majority of revenue goes to the teams. So while it's outrageous that the NFL is considered a non-profit, it's not exactly depriving the government of billions of dollars of revenue.

The NFL made 7.2 billion last year or 226 million a team. SO with 143 million salary cap that's 81 million of profit off of TV deals. That doesn't include tickets, parking, concession, merchandise, etc... which likely doubles that figure if not more. Do you really think these owners are paying a billion dollars for a team to not make money?

Wow, you are playing very fast and loose with numbers there buddy. Where's the $7.2 billion figure coming from? Are you sure that excludes tickets, parking concession etc.? And there are plenty of expenses associated with owning a team besides paying the players: you can't just conclude that everything over the salary cap is profit.

Financial terms have not been released, but the three networks are expected to pay roughly $3 billion a year on average annually compared to the current $1.93 billion they collectively pay. ESPN re-upped its deal with the NFL earlier this year at an annual rate of $1.9 billion. Factor in other media deals with the NFL Network, DirectTV ($1 billion annually), Westwood One radio and others, and NFL teams will divvy up nearly $7 billion in media money starting in 2014. That is more than $200 million per team every year before one ticket, beer or jersey is sold.

Now Thursday Night Football is up for bid and is going to bring in hundreds of millions more.

I wish Chris and his family well and will be praying for his health.

He was overpaid. I wanst a big fan of his as a player.

Facts: 1) He should've taken better care of his money. 2) He should have asked about the risks if he was not informed ahead of time. 3) The NFL has been proved repeatedly to treat the players like a commodity rather than as human beings. The league and the owners make billions of dollars. Roger Goodell, you want to protect the integrity of the game? Then take care of the injured and sick former players instead of wasting even more money fighting them over every football-related health issue!
