Justin Houston released (Steelers may be negotiating with him)

That's not true, I have a brand new popcorn machine

You should get a Bacon cooker next........... as everyone knows Bacon goes good with Tequila !!!!

If somehow the Steelers pull this off........... I’d say Antonio Brown fiasco woke the sleeping giant.....

He does carry the injury risk, but this would be one of the best win-now moves we could make aside from signing Eric Berry as well. Cut Dupree and that clears the way for one of them...

I think I’d like Zach brown over Houston but I’d be happy with either one.

Zach Brown would be a decent signing. He's got experience in LeBeau's 3-4 and is a lighter, coverage backer. That being said, I think I value a blue chip pass rusher over a decent ILB.

I’m all for it then get ourselves a MLB in the draft.

resign ben cut Burnett sign both. be done with free agency and roar into the draft.

If they pull this off- this could become one of the better defenses in the league. Butlers pass rushing numbers were very good last year. Adding Houston opposite of Watt and adding Nelson opposite Haden would make this defense scary

If it means Dupree gets released I’d be happy if we signed the popcorn guy from Heinz field.

To me Zach Brown makes more sense than Houston unless we cut Dupree, it unless Bud could play ILB. Anyone think this would be possible?

If someone could still explain this to me I'd really appreciate it. It would have cost a 7th to assume Houston's contract which as far as I can tell has 7 million base left. And you had total control of it. You will likely be paying something like that anyhow. If they are going to sign Bud Dupree to a long term contract they have to be kidding themselves. He is Uncle Jarvis a little heavier. You could have cut ties with Dupree, picked up Houston's contract and probably renegotiated it into two years. Maybe 16 million. All you want anyhow. He is 30.

this says he had $15.25 base salary this season

Kansas City had been attempting to trade Houston, but no club was willing to take on his $15.25M base salary. By cutting Houston, the Chiefs will retain $7.1M in dead money but will also create $14M in cap space.

Someone is going to pay Houston more than we can, no chance.
