Apparently Ian Rapoport tweeted out “OSU QB Justin Fields has confirmed to NFL teams during the pre-draft process that he is managing epilepsy – a neurological disorder that can cause seizures, per me and @TomPelissero. It has not affected football & doctors believe he’ll outgrow it as his other family members have.”

I also completely forgot Alan Faneca suffers from it as well. Apparently it can be managed with medication but can see teams passing on him. If available at 24 I wouldn’t think twice. He’s special and think a case can be made he’s the best QB in the draft and that’s saying something.

Well, seeing that the nfl is fixed....it's all coming together....J-Rock to the Steelers @24. Casserly knew it all the time, lol.

If Fields makes it to 10 the Steelers need to start making phone calls. I forget where I saw the tweet, but a draft analyst said it makes more sense for a team to draft Fields at No. 1 than to argue any QB other than Lawrence over Fields at No. 2.

I'm sure he is on strong Anti Seizure meds or will be to prevent if he has never had any seizures. there is no way he makes it past SF I think they have locked him as the type of qb and arm to bring the Young run and gun era back. Both Fields and Lance draw comparisons to Dak with good mobility and arms however Fields has reached Watson's comparisons to both are great but no way in hell does either make it out of the top 10.

For me if Fields drops to 24 I have to be concerned as to why? If he’s this eventual franchise QB why would all these teams take a hard pass?

Trevor Lawrence imo is the only true legit franchise QB. Has been the past three years while at Clemson. He should be a savior for the Jaguars and g they would be wise to build a strong offense around him.

No way does he fall to 24. You have a better chance at cooch becoming a GM. Yeah like never.

Don't sell Coach short, he generally manages quite well..................................................... HHHHahahhaaahhhaaaaaaaa
He manages to pick better than the team and is willing to let us know about it

Salute the nation

Ohio state QBs are *** in the nfl... we already have one potential first round bust from there on the roster, lets not even try to collect more...

really want an ohio state guy? he fell off in parts last season too.

sure he could turn into Mahomes lite but would be a red flag to fall that low.

I'm remembering another QB who dropped to 24 and turned into a franchise QB as many thought he would ..I'm sure all those teams are asking why they took a hard pass.

If he falls, how much of it would be due to Haskins? Teams have shied away from QBs after the previous one with talent busted so badly. And Ohio State hasn't exactly had a track record of great QBs transitioning to the pros.

Rex Grossman? Kent Graham? The suspense is killing me - who??
Ask Tomlin maybe he would have 2 Super Bowls if not for this guy. But I'm sure he would have figured another way to lose it.

You beat me to it. What's the difference between Haskins and Fields??? I don't see anything different...
I think Haskins has the questionable work ethic tag. Fields doesn't carry that negative. I think both are talented, but a lot of talent comes and goes without reaching their full potential. I think Fields will give the NFL a better stab than Haskins.

I can accept that - but who knows why Haskins exhibited poor work ethic in DC? I was referring to their size and game play...

Haskins was considered top 3 talent but he dropped from work ethic & attitude issues. His own Coach Urban Meyer said he wasn’t ready for NFL. Washington coaches didn’t want to draft Haskins #15, Synder overruled them. Haskins was particularly bad—and fair or not, Fields might get passed over as being another product of OSU

snyder is clueless as coach

Game play is totally different. Fields is faster and more mobile. Also, there's a "want to" element to Fields' character that I have yet to see from Haskins. I just don't see Haskins as the guy who comes back from injury and carves out a win like Fields did against Clemson. Throw in the vast difference in work ethic (Fields is a film junkie) and you have totally different players.
With Fields, someone is getting a guy who at the least has the potential to grow into a fringe top 10 QB in the league based on the tangibles. If his intangibles (work ethic/want to/drive) blossom, the sky is the limit.
If he's sitting there at 24, you run to the podium. But, given our other needs, if he drops past 10, I don't think you trade up for him.

Yep, that would be the one and only Aaron Rogers. It does happen but not too often. Happened in 1983 with Dan Marino and we all know how that turned out. Happens all to infrequently that a star QB falls that far but it does happen once in a blue moon.
Fields imo will go in the top 10 but feel he could be a disappointment.

Game play Fields is a lot more mobile than Haskins so that obviously would open up a offense with his type of speed. Similar body type both NFL capable. I think Haskins might have a stronger arm where Fields will read coverages better. Which was a knock on Haskins coming out. Makes me wonder if behind the scenes in college if Haskins wasn't putting in the film room work. For me two vastly different QBs. I think only the body type is similar.

Bingo. Big Man On Campus syndrome. Immature. Which is why Urban said he needed to stay another year. But, Day was all-in on Fields when he entered the transfer portal and Haskins knew there was a good chance he doesn't win a battle against Fields for the QB1 spot. So, he left for the NFL while his stock was high. Every evaluator out there said the kid needed to land in the right type of environment. Where he could sit and learn behind a vet. Snyder pushed the issue and the kid was damaged just as much by that as by his immaturity.

are you serious? They are not similar at all. Haskins is a big, lumbering, pocket QB who is also lazy and has attitude issues. Fields is more similar to Mahomes or Kyler Murray if he wasn’t a midget.
