Juju to 49ers Rumors

Dulac BS or not, JuJu stays here unless there was a mix up on numbers and it's the 13th overall and straight up. BEN T'aint sticking around another year after this SB win so we lose his cap number and can afford JuJu.

SMOKE baby.

I can't see them trading Ben's best and most familiar WR when we are in win now, especially to bring in a rookie to place next to Johnson who is only coming into his 2nd season.

it's difficult to agree with Korea, but sometimes the blind squirrel finds a nut that he doesnt have to wipe off his chin.

the available free agent WRs are here:
https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/wide-receiver/available/

So trading Juju for the (likely) 31st pick would mean you're looking to draft a replacement for Juju at some point. And most likely at 31. So what's the point in that? Combine that with having to bring in one of the scrubs off that list above and hoping Diontae can make a huge leap... asking for a lot. We know Washington is who he is - talented, but can disappear at crucial times. Our WR depth chart would be:

D. Johnson - Washington - rookie/free agent - Cain - Switzer - A. Johnson

maybe the 49ers throw in one of their scrub WRs like Pettis? then you just remove Cain/A. Johnson from the depth chart. I think Switzer would stay since he and Ben have some sort of chemistry (even though the midget aint that good)

not very impressive.

the ONLY way we trade Juju is if somehow, someway AB and Ben have made amends which is HIGHLY unlikely. and even moreso, if AB and the coaching staff have made amends. Even more highly unlikely. and if Tomlin can convince the FO to bring AB back. Most unlikely.

I'd give this trade a .05% chance of happening since you never say never.

If you don't think JuJu is worth keeping around or paying that next contract to, you listen to the offer. Like it's been said, you have to draft a WR in the second round(the latest) and you lose experiece there. It just seems with losing JuJu, we would be taking two steps backward. The trade would have to benefit the Steelers in some way, other than just gettng that #31 pick.

Not with the depth at WR in this draft. You could pick up JuJu's heir apparent in the 2nd round. Hard to believe that, but it's true.

Sure, heir apparent but we need a No. 1 WR now. Whoever we pick will have no camp and will be lucky to be our No. 3 WR. That's not good enough if they are in a win now mode. They can't wait a year for the heir apparent to be able to catch 80+ balls and get 1,000 yards.

No chance that Dylan report is BS. The Steelers wanted everyone to know there was no substance to the rumor so they got the word out there as soon as they could via Dulac. The rumor on the other hand, I’d guess totally made up based on the twitter account that came up with it.

Have you been drinking again !!!!!

San Fran owns the #13 pick and the #31 pick in the first round of the 2020 draft

and I have never heard of those other 2 guys you mentioned...........ha

roll tide

You know how I roll. Yes, COVID-19 has me drinking everyday...my bad on missing #13

Welp, back to my Tito's...

If they're really thinking they want to push for a ring in Ben's last year or two, they aren't going to utterly dismantle and already weak WR corps.
They don't care about rings its all about saving money. The No pay Steeler way.

Dismantling this offence is all they have been doing for the past 2 years, why stop now?
I say get rid of JuJu now, if they can get a 1st for him? How could they not? Even if he were to stop choking in the biggest moments and prove he is worthy of a #1WR designation, they are too cheap to pay him anyway.

JuJu has had his lapses. And I never thought in the first place he was any kind of replacement for Brown. I mean, Brown is nutty as a shithouse rat, but he was talented!

But to think they can sign a rookie somewhere, elevate a 2nd year guy to the #1 spot, and somehow not come out as hot garbage...
