Ju-Ju should rate as one of the top 10 wide receivers in football, and McDoanld could be among the five best all-around Tight Ends. The trouble is if either player were to go down, there is a huge gap between them and the next man up. It might not even be possible to feature their replacements. The playbook, route trees, and lack of explosiveness / playmaking ability with the next up would bring would put the breaks on the Steelers passing offense, allowing defense to ignore the big play ability of JU-JU or McDonald, and commit players closer to the line of scrimmage, making things harder for Conner to run the ball, and leaving the Steelers a bit more open to the blitz.

After Ju-JU we have a bunch of #3's, maybe one can emerge into a solid #2 WR by the end of camp. After McDonald, we also have a bunch of #3 type of TE's, and might even lack the flexibility to feature a two TE set.

We'll see what the rookies and free agents bring to the table, but until proven, Tomlin would be very wise to play Ju-Ju and McDonald sparingly in the pre-season.

TE is obviously the weak link in in depth department. They possibly bring in a scrap heap TE after final cut downs, a veteran. As fir JuJu, name one team that can "not miss a beat" if their # 1 goes down............. JuJu and Vance are tough as hell and they will be fine.

Salute the nation

I will say, I'm not as worried. Yes we're going to lose talent, but Ben is going to hit the open man this year, whether it's a WR, TE, or RB. We are going to be a lot more versatile this season. Connor and JaySam will get a lot of targets this season.

Like you could tell me something I don't know. The point is made, private clueless. Our depth at WR is unproven and we have none at TE.

Where do you stand on speed at WR? I think it's lacking as a group, others might not.

And Snell is gonna blow up some runs too.

not angry,, youre a dumbass daily. I just promoted you.

The only problem is Privates can't promote anyone, and we know you are not an Admiral.

Outside of that, what you said makes perfect sense. And I disagree, your'e an angry man. You've even said so in the past.

That's gonna leave a mark.

I think he'll settle for a second stripe

Slash if I went too far, let me know. I can erase this post and apologize.

But you said don't treat me with kid gloves, so for special occasions like this when you lamely try to troll my posts, I won't.

? he wasn't talking about me in that post.

You have actually been a lot better lately , so don't let a troll drag you back to times past.

Just passing some time until camp starts. I said my time to post is less these days, and I'd rather focus on football. Thanks for noticing! On occasions when people try to wreck a football thread, yeah I might troll back a bit and have some fun. Depth at QB might not be as weak as we think. Dobbs should be better, and Rudolph might beat him out as the #2.

Ben remains the player the Steelers can least afford to lose. After that, it could be Ju-Ju. And our thinest position is TE.

TE and FS get the thinnest position designation.

I saw someone on twitter talking about the Steelers best player. Woo would get your nod?
