Jones played reasonably well the first 3 games. I accused him of getting gashed on zone blocking runs in the 2nd half vs. the Clowns, and somebody provided specific evidence that it was WORILDS, and not Jones, who was getting roasted. Jones actually did an OK job holding the edge against the run, and was applying decent pressure.

The true facts are that his talent level and performance are what we would expect from a 3rd round pick. Hence, the criticism of his selection at 17, where Tomlin so loved the guy the Steelers practically sprinted to the microphone to give Goodell the pick.

what's sad is that you have such hatred for the pick, that even when he does have a good play, you excuse it as something it's not. I did not want any part of Jones on draft day. I was highly disappointed in his rookie year. But I'm also not going to make **** up just because I wasn't a fan of the pick. He beat that tackle, simple as that.

It sounds like you are a tad bit too emotionally wrapped up in Jones.

Jones played as a rook, accomplishment in LeBeau's D or sign of lack of depth/talent... Could be both. He was showing greater strength and improvement in year 2-what a fan looks for. Get over yourself Steelpride and show some, he's a Sreeler now and has been. Not saying to live the guy or the fact we picked him too early, but support rather than slander would be a start.

Jones sucks and will always suck, being slow , weak and dumb does not work at OLB in a 3-4 so get over yourself, it was a horrible pick and now a talent strapped team like us will now have to draft a LB in the 1st round for the 3rd straight year due to this bust.

No ,more like our dick head coach got a hard on for an injured, slow, small, dumb LB who sucked at his wprkouts, his college tape was awful and he ran to the podium to get a player the rest of the league hated, .Funny how our defense got much better after Jones was injured and he was replaced by a washed up 36 year old.

Todays game will unfortunately shine a huge spotlight on why Jarvis was such a terrible pick.

He absolutely did not show more strength. He did get two sacks but was absolutely owned in those games. He got knocked on his *** by a wr. He can't play the run or rush In the pass game. He's been a terrible pick no way around it.

I remember the days when I would get emotional about Steeler football too....well not this emotional, but at least somewhat emotional. I'm detached at this point so I can't relate as much to people who act like Tomlin ****** their sister, Jarvis slapped their mother and Archer kicked their grandma. I get disapproval and disappointment but hate and fury....I don't get.
