Johnny Football is missing......

the only thing that could have made it better would be to have incorporated James Harrison slamming him to the turf inside the pen

Until I read the article I thought this part of the headline referred to Johnny Manziel, not the gorilla.

Incidentally why is he still called Johnny Football in some quarters when he clearly isn't? Or is this one of those nicknames that is used because it is the complete opposite of the person's physical or personal characteristics (like nicknaming a redhead "bluey" or a quiet, shy person "rowdy")?

Around here we call him "Johnny Bench".

Johnny "Not In" Football???
 
Football aside this kid is in serious trouble and I hope he gets help before it's too late.
 
No I won't miss him either but he's someone's son, someone's brother. I don't care if he ever plays another down of football but I don't want to see any young person kill themselves in this fashion.

Johnny thinks he's coming back to the NFL... dude better get to rehab again, get in shape, go to CFL and keep his nose clean and then if he can do that maybe in 2017 or 2018 he can get a shot at the NFL again. Personally, he worried me when the Clowns drafted him. I thought there were two directions he could go. 1. Become a drunk drug addict and be out of the NFL in a few years. (which is what happened). 2. Keeps his nose clean and studies and becomes the next Fran Tarkenton. He had such bust potential I would never have taken him in the first but I saw the appeal after seeing him torch Alabama a few times. The problem was all the maturity issues, off field antics, drug and alcohol use and then you give him millions... too risky.

Something worse? It's already something worse. We aren't just talking drinking here, he is on major hardcore drugs, allegedly.
