I've seen nothing from the ILBs that warrants Jerry keeping his job anymore than I've seen from the OLBs warranting Joey keeping his.

Really? I thought Vince did great until Shaz went down and he had to play differently. You can just plug and play someone like Shaz and have starting material at a 3rd stringer or think that the guy next to him can play the same. Especially, when Shaz back up was hurt in the same game. I don't care how good your coach is,the idea that a 3rd stringer is going to be starter worthy is very unlikely.

Unless you cheat. Obviously.

I will say it again, that was the value of Timmons. Sure, he had lost a step and couldnt play MACK as well as Shaz, but if Shaz got hurt (as he had been in prior years) or left the field, Timmons could move to Mack and Vince come in for Buck. it is not imaginary, it happened. IMO, Timmons/Shaz would have been better than Vince/Shaz and Vince/Timmons would have been better than Vince/AnyoneElseWeHad. Sadly, we couldn't or didnt pay Timmons as much as he wanted.
