Joe Haden

I think if he is able, medically and mentally, then hell yes because his rustiness ability is still better than what we've been putting out there. What little I saw of Sutton he looked ok but still a rookie with NO experience.

Salute the nation

Any word that he has started riding a stationary bike or jogging?

sometime between Nov 27 and Dec 6, he took this photo. It was uploaded to his Twitter account on Dec 6. I've been unable to locate anything at Spurrier Florida Field during that time frame. I say during that time frame since Joe was posting about Mullen going back to Florida (hired Nov. 27). He was still on crutches. However, in the video from last night's Twitter feed, he was walking without the crutches.

Heard it was 50/50. If he can play you play him. If not then you know he's got two prep games before the playoffs.

We won't know anything till we see if he shows up in practice or not

Steelers Injury Report: Patriots week starts with some injury questions

The Pittsburgh Steelers never make it easy, and they certainly didn’t do that in Week 14 when they led, then trailed and had to come from behind to beat the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football to win their second-straight AFC North title.

However, during the game there were some injuries to note for the Black-and-gold, as they now turn their attention to the New England Patriots in Week 15.

Vance McDonald left the game with a shoulder injury and did not return. It was a shame to see this happen considering McDonald just missed the previous three games with an ankle injury. But he was having himself a tremendous game on Sunday night before leaving again.

Alejandro Villanueva left the game briefly, but was able to return, and what might have been a catastrophic injury was avoided after Le’Veon Bell, who left the game with what appeared to be a knee injury, was able to come back in and be productive the rest of the game.

There are several other injuries to keep an eye on heading into Week 15. For one, Tyler Matakevich’s shoulder injury, in terms of helping with depth at inside linebacker.

Also, Joe Haden’s broken leg could be tested this week in practice to see if or when he might come back to help lift a struggling secondary.

I don't want him out there unless the bone is healed. The worst thing would be for him to rush back, and then go limping off the field, done for the season.

He's not gonna rebreak a BONE - healing bones are stronger than the original bone.

It's the muscle atrophy from disuse that affects the afflicted limb after a month of not being used.

If the bone is truly healed. If it's not healed, you can surely break it in the exact same spot.

4-6 weeks for the bone to heal - another couple of weeks to get back in shape

He should be ready for the playoffs

Without Haden and Shazier, the Steelers have to know that they will lose if they do not shake things up. We must get into an all out track meet with the Patriots. Ben should throw it 40 times. Bell should touch it 25 times running or receiving. I would be fine if we lost a game like that. That 3 down and punt **** ain't working this week. The Patriots will throw to their Rbs on the regular. They will put a lot of pressure on our weak defense. We need to force the ball to our offensive stars early and often..

This game is meaningless. I'd sit Haden, Bell, Vance, and anyone else that in nicked up. I wouldn't give the *s a look at these guys until (if) we see them in the playoffs. THAT is the only game that matters, and where we play will not make that much difference. Beating them in the playoffs is the ONLY thing that matters.

There will be a week of return to activity and then a week of return to practice. Based upon where he is if he doesnt start to be a limited participant this week ypu probably dont see him till their first playoff game. The wins have bought him a ton of time. That would add three weeks to the timetable and then he is at 100 percent. He is experienced. Im not too concerned about him playing the browns.

- Hey Joe, where are you going with that gun in your hand?
- I'm gonna shoot that old Brady, you know I got him messin' around with a deflated ball,
yeah, I'm gonna shoot that old Brady you know I got him stealing radio signals around, all around town
...

This game is for the first seed - that matters...

No, it really doesn't.

They've beaten us at home in the playoffs, and they've beaten us on the road in the playoffs. If the coaches don't put a great, unfamiliar game plan together, it won't matter if they play the game at your house.

How doesn't it matter? Even if we drop to the 2 seed, we can't just assume that we absolutely will beat Houston and Cleveland ... given how we consistently play down to our opponent.

Let's suppose we do lose this game. Hell, let's throw this game. We have the 2 seed, afterall.

Well, Jacksonville is currently at 9-4.
They play Houston, San Francisco and Tennessee. With their defense and how they're gelling, they could win all three and finish at 12-4

If we lose to the P*ts, we could also choke on one of our remaining two.
If we finish with the same record as the Jags, guess what ... they own the tie breaker. We're now the 3 seed and have no bye week to start the playoffs.

So, yes, this game does matter. As does the game against Houston. The Cleveland game matters if we lose one of the other two.

Would that be so bad? Take a look at how Ben plays after coming off a bye, or a game off from injury.... NOT having a bye might actually improve our chances of making it further into the playoffs. Super Bowl teams often come from the Wildcard rounds, a Bye isn't a sure path to the big game.
