Yeah, not sure what happened, but he's really regressed it seems. Was a pleasant surprise at first but has been on a gradual decline. Must be his confidence, once that's shot it's tough to play CB

I think Cockrell had like 60 some tackles last year?


I think it is his coverage skills that are more worrisome.
 
superb move shows we have the full intent and commitment to go all the way with this move after this move looks like Golsen is gone for sure, Allen is sure headed to land on the PS and Slot will come down to Hilton, Cockrell Sensabaugh and Gay, I see Gay in the dime as a S, maybe a cover 3 playing im the middle and blitzing off the edge, If Gay is cut Sutton takes the last DB spot

He was in Cleveland. That place will suck the life and will out of anyone. Superman would become average Joe in Cleveland.

On NFL radio today, they said Haden had a great camp and preseason. This is why Browns wanted to keep him and just try to squeeze a couple million out of him cause he's been injured the past couple years.
Browns fans were calling saying they were ecstatic that he was gone and so happy he signed with us because they couldn't wait to see him let us down when a big play is needed lol.. I almost feel bad for Brown's fans but I don't.

He fit the zone scheme... it often is that when schemes change some guys who are playing reactionary positions have to think too much at first and start getting burned intil they have the new assignments figured out
 
His highlights he's actually making plays. Can't say are current roster is even close. Playing hurt he still made plays

He was OK in Zone when healthy. However, Haden's strong suit in Man Coverage... he was considered by nearly everyone to be the best Man Corner in the Nation when he came out of College. If he is healthy, I see us playing even MORE Man that was expected.

This was a question I had. If he had a good camp and is recovered from the surgery, the arrow is pointing up.

That would be GREAT! Man coverage. Give our line and backers more time to the qb.

Hey, Gary is a gamer. He would do well in damn near any situation. Even sitting in a heated bus at Heinz field on draft day.
 
I guess it boils down to these guys ?

Ross Cockrell, Coty Sensabaugh, Will Gay,

Someone has to leave the forge. Gentleman please present your weapons.

Personally I would prefer to keep Sensabaugh and probably give the **** an edge over Gay, just because of age.

Thankfully the Browns FO is a clusterfuck and is their owner a former part time owner with the steelers?
 
I would keep gay. Cockrell has been terrible starting from mid last year. He can be replaced with john doe and it wouldn't matter. Gay has good ball skills and still has some life left.
On a side note not sure how anyone can be against the haden signing. Everyone was complaining about the secondary and we finally pulled the trigger on an upper tier guy. I am shocked they actually pulled the trigger
