Jgp77 - HollywoodBags, Par, Franco, ARussell etc come on down

I think McCarthy has worked with less talent (outside of QB) then Tomlin has. Not saying McCarthy's all that, but in the Super Bowl, he clearly outcoached Tomlin. That really can't be argued.

Ben threw 3 interceptions. How was that Tomlins fault in the SB? Tomlin was 20 yards away from completing a 18 point comeback. Mendenhall doesn't fumble and the Steelers win.

I always thought that game was won because Rogers outplayed Ben. To me he was the best player on the field that day. But im a Tomlin apologist so what i think doesnt matter

Where did he get that talent.......

the truth is there's similar level coaches (just a few) but no one clearly better

Tomlin is, sadly, a Top Five coach.
Better, besides Belichick, I guess I'd have to go with Mike McCarthy and Sean Peyton.
I hate Belicheat's guts with every fiber of my being. If he were available I'd say sign him in a heartbeat. We'd never lose a game. Cheating or not he's far and away the best coach in the league. He forgets more **** by Monday than Shades has learned in his whole life.

No thank you on Billacheat. I think Tomlin is a work hard coach. For me he isn't that X and O halftime adjustment coach. I just wonder if he is good enough to get this team back to the SB. It sure doesn't seem that way. Not that I am in love with the other coaches either. Haley might even be the weakest link. I am not seeing the production from the O with the talent fielded. Maybe it is a carry over from preseason approach. Which falls on Tomlin. That home field advantage is so big for this team
With their sloppy play you have to wonder if it is obtainable. For me I want the negative patterns to playing down to bad teams to stop. As that goes back to Tomlins lack of adjustments. Which made our team last Sunday look like a version of the Bad News Bears in Chicago. Then you have our D that shows strides then leaves you scratching your head. Still a wait and see with Tomlin. But he does leave a lot of fans wanting more. I will say if this O isn't top 10 by seasons end, I want Haley gone.

Replace Haley w Fichtner now, IMO. No need for Tomlin to go anywhere as they have worked together going back to Arkansas St. Fichtner's offenses were prolific at both places he coached ArkST and Memphis. Ben loves him and would probably stay through his contract as well. He is known as having a great schematic/football mind and for his ADJUSTMENTS at halftime and during games.

Other than that, we need to get an on-field DB communicator and replace big-mouth Mitchell. Always out of position himself and misses tackles too. We had a shot at Weddle who went to the Rats. He is a leader on the field and has 6 ints in 2016-2017 compared to Mitchell's 1. AND...I'm not so sure V.Williams will be the best answer for us alongside of Shazier. We need discipline here too. Let Shaz shoot the gaps and 'maybe' he wins more than he loses in the backfield BUT we need a disciplined guy to go along with him in the case that he whiffs. Williams has not shown to be that guy. He is slower and tries to make up for it by 'jumping the gun' or playing too aggressive. He just doesn't have the agility to be doing that. Hell, Deebo would be a better ILB right now than Williams for how he's being used. Again, IMO.

Yeah I could see a ILBer and FS being a big draft need next year. Or bring in a free agent ILBer. I doubt they would bring in a FS, so I would hope for this approach with drafting a FS in 1. If the value was there.

Kemoeatu got pushed right back into Ben on one of those. The OL sucked. You're right though. If Mendenfumble doesn't loose that ball to start the 4th quarter we go in and score and have all the momentum. It would have changed the game.

Out coached? Mendenhalls fumble and Rogers throwing darts is why we lost. Not sure it was coaching that made the difference.

Definately NO billicheat..!!!!!!! I'm in that boat of Haley using up his welcome. If by end of season he isn't in top 8, NOT 10, offense then he is definately underperforming with this group of players. His play calling tends to pit us against their strengths when we should be exploiting their weaknesses. Empty back field on 3rd and 2, point made.

Salute the nation

Respectfully, in this statement I see hypocrisy. So Tomlin's not responsible for Ben's interceptions, but he is responsible for being 20 yards away? So are you saying the play on the field is or is not the responsibility of the head coach? Personally, I'm tired of EVERYBODY else being blamed, but not Tomlin. He has shown, over the years, a history of his team (that HE is ultimately responsible for) playing down to inferior competition, not being prepared, undisciplined play that results in missed assignments and personal foul penalties, poor clock management, inability for in game adjustments. These things are, above anyone else, the responsibility of the head coach, and it's been a pattern under Tomlin since day one. If he's not responsible for this, than what's the point of having a head coach?

Playing off of Roger's receivers, a staple of Tomlin's defense, was stupid. And yes, that is a direct result of coaching.

Fixed it for you. You're slipping, man.

Jon Gruden.

We forget that the Raiders in the "tuck rule" game were coached by Jon Gruden. He was just 38 at the time. He has a career .540 winning percentage, a lifetime 5-4 record in the playoffs, took teams to the playoffs with QB's like Rich Gannon, Jeff Garcia, and Brian Griese, and won a SB with Brad Johnson at QB.

Knowledgeable, hard-working, successful with mediocre QB's, a coach who knows how to use the running game to help the passing game, a coach who took a staggering Raiders franchise and made it one of the better teams in the league, and who made Tampa Bay a perennial playoff contender despite highly mediocre QB's.

MT is in the top 5 of coaches in the league today. If he was fired he would have a job immediately. Does he have flaws. ******* A he does. So does every other coach out there maybe minus **god himself. my biggest issue with MT is adjustments in game. Could they be doing them, maybe but it doesn't show on the field. Could that be the players, sure ...but that just seems like one of his biggest flaws.

That said, he isn't the only one and I'm glad we have him.

Give me Rex Ryan, Defensive mastermind who can get a Mark Sanchez led Jets team to the afccg two years in a row.

Lol...someone always says Rex based upon this. A ridiculous proposal based upon all facts known.

Yeah. Agreed.

I support Tomlin since he's the HC. His success translates to team success.
And yeah every human is flawed. As fans we're the "championship or bust" mentality.

Anything short is a failure and the head coach takes the heat.
Buck the trend of losing to lesser opponents and SN will be a lot happier

Cant believe i didnt pick up on it..i usually always do
