Jets sign 37 year old RB Frank Gore to take the pressure off L.Bell

You're right, also 16 years, just less games at 222.

If you are going by age it is actually Jim Thorpe at 40 years of age but I doubt it was called the NFL back then... last down played for the Chicago Cardinals.
Marcus Allen at 37 put up 500+ yards for KC in his last year

I hope Gore puts up better numbers than Bell........... good on you old timer.....

The STEELERS did and with what they felt was a fair contract and then held put. BELL wanted more and the STEELERS said NO and that caused the Bell to ring a ding ding leave. We didn't go apeshit to sign as we said here it is and kept to our word. YES they tried but in the end they didn't as they let him walk. Bell didn't just chose to leave as he tried to work the $$$s but the STEELERS kept to their plan so I wouldn't say the STEELERS chased after him at all but went to a number and held, big difference from chasing to letting him leave on his own decision.

EDIT: Regardless of how one wants to view it the bottom line is thank GOD he is gone.! !!

Salute the nation
which was more than he signed for. we were the highest bidder which goes back to my point about everyone saying glad we didn't pay him when we were in fact the highest bidder. his stupidity is why he's not here, not the steelers being smart
