Not sure what they are trying to tell Lev Bell with this 1 year signing of Gore and the 4th round pick of L. Perine.

Gore will be turning 37 shortly. Adam Gase said he wanted to take pressure off Bell who is coming off his worst year stats wise.

If you are going to accept a $13 million per year contract as a RB you might expect to have to work for it. If Grampa Gore reduces the pressure, maybe Bell can take some more time to work on the more important things in life, like bowling.

Each year that passes, not paying Bell looks better and better.

Year one of his tag, I think most if not all of us wanted the guy long term. Second year he blew it when he turned his back on the team after saying he was coming back and changed his mind. He lost the others in the locker room. Last year for our offense was so offensively bad, its hard to say how any one person would have made a difference except Ben. Even AB wasn't going to help Duck or Mason get the ball downfield.

I hope you are OK with me and my Kitties zoning out on this. One plays the Juice harp, another plays the 4-spoons clack-rap and the last one plays the O'l wash tub with base cloths line string. They get the beat going real good and I step in and rap-sing while wearing tennis shoes and two thongs (one on backward as it seems to give me more support that way).

I called the CHEATRIOTS video squad and asked if they'd film me so I could send it in for audition tape of my SB 1/2 time entertainment bid. Haven't heard anything back except Robert called to find out if I was female with STRONG hands. The STEELERS did and with what they felt was a fair contract and then held put. BELL wanted more and the STEELERS said NO and that caused the Bell to ring a ding ding leave. We didn't go apeshit to sign as we said here it is and kept to our word. YES they tried but in the end they didn't as they let him walk. Bell didn't just chose to leave as he tried to work the $$$s but the STEELERS kept to their plan so I wouldn't say the STEELERS chased after him at all but went to a number and held, big difference from chasing to letting him leave on his own decision.


EDIT: Regardless of how one wants to view it the bottom line is thank GOD he is gone.! !!

Don’t sleep on Lamycal Perine. IMO Bell is cut after 2020 as they structured it as an easy out for the jets. Doubt Steelers would be interested in a 29 year old running back by then. Unless he comes back dirt cheap but by his history I assume he retires as his self worth is a lot higher than what the market will be offering.
