Jets-Cowboys Saturday-nighter

Interesting comment by Cowher in the pregame, when he picked the Jets:

"There's no homefield advantage here (for the Cowboys). It's too comfortable (in Jerryworld).

What's strange, only an hour ago the wife and I were talking about the subject of dome teams being soft. I think there's something to it.

You look at the perennial powers in the NFL over the years: Patriots, Steelers, Packers, etc. All outdoor teams.

I will be rooting for the Cowchips. Then I will go take a shower.

Anyone catch the eric decker fumble that wasn't? The football was clearly moving around on decker and he clearly did not have full control of the football before his knee hit the ground. It was a fumble and the refs somehow "confirmed" that the runner was down by contact before the ball came out. What a crock. Also on that play; initially it was ruled a fumble then come back from commercial break for the refs to have them reversed the call. Dallas got hosed. And Matt Cassel is a pathetic excuse of a quarterback.

When you have these types of situations....it really makes you wonder who really is the "man behind the curtain"...

Seemed like an obvious fumble to me. Jets are 3rd in Red Zone offense. No better than 25th for last 3 years (32nd last year). What a turn around.

Cowboys wise to bench Cassel.

Kellen Moore taking his first NFL snaps after being "redshirted" for three-plus seasons. Good to see him get a shot. He was good in college (Boise St.).

I don't think the fumble that wasn't (nothing to see here folks ... look the other way) is going to matter much. What with Cassel and Moore doing the "close your eyes and chuck it" passing drill tonight.

I agree with you, however, it's just another notch against the poor officiating across the league this season.

Add a bullshit horse collar tackle call.

If he manages to pull this one against the jets, the lions fans here in Detroit are going to absolutely LOSE it. People have been calling into the radio stations the last two or however many years pleading with the lions coaching staff to give him a shot over stafford and that he "would be the one to turn it around" for their organization.

I can't believe I am actually pulling for the cowboys, I feel so cheep.

I didn't know about the "back story" in Detroit regarding Moore. Interesting.

He reminds me of Case Keenum. The more Keenum plays, the better he looks. He's definitely a decent NFL backup, and a spot-starter.

Maybe the same will happen with Moore. I'm just glad to see him get a shot. I'm tired of all the retread QBs, i.e. Cassel, Whitehurst, Weeden, etc.

Tackling is not professional in professional football. Dear Lord!

If the Cowboys can hold on one more quarter, the Steelers are lookin' good for a playoff spot.

And just like they do with their own fans, the Cowboys give ya a little hope and then start to collapse in the fourth ... denting the hopes of Steelers fans for an easier path to the playoffs.

Ahh, 50 yard FG to tie, everybody makes those these days. Chip shot.

Bounced it off the goalpost just to keep it exciting.
