His ceiling is higher in Detroit? Delusional.
Jesse James is a solid guy. I know it's been said. But I have no problem it being said more. The fact of the matter is the house should have been cleaned with the coaching staff. They are not responsible for individual acts, but they are certainly responsible for the culture of the team. And clearly it had run amok. Ultimately, I am a Steelers fan. I would really like Coach Tomlin to lead this team to another Championship. I think he is a decent man. Don't hate him. Unfortunately, I've come to the conclusion that wont happen. And this team needs to move on. So I'm glad James said these things. Only if it becomes embarrassing will Tomlin be gone. And then rebuild can truly begin.

Here is the entire speak for you media meatheads who want to spin what he said to bad.
If the media speaks I shall follow!
This is what you get with a "players coach".....
i don't agree with this at all.
some teams have awesome talent in a single player and have a hard time keeping them in line. and they get traded or released. We just so happened to have 2 on the same roster.
there has been "why would they let xxxx player go" over several teams the past few years.
So Tomlin having 2 sets of rules, one for the rest of the team, and AB didn't have anything to do with it?

LOL Is it just me or do the Tomlin apologists sound a lot like the Kordell apologists?
No. Cowher was a player's coach. He took care of his guys and even expressed love for them. He was just more about tough love than being overly permissive to stars.
Funny, you posted that, I was just listening to Dawson with Stan on the SNR radio yesterday, he pretty much said that exact same thing about Cowher when asked to compare Noll and Cowher.
There ya go.
There's a difference between a player's coach and a ******* pushover.
He said Cowher seemed to know how to handle the players, when they need a spit bath or a pat on the ***. He said he'd run conditioning drills with them, jump in on drills. I do remember him getting bloody nose once in one of the drills.

Jesse James sucks. If he wasn't from Pennsylvania and a hometown kid he would've been run outtatahn by now. He's average at everything and goes down when he's tapped.
I'd say more like gotten stale. But yeah sure.In other words, Tomlin sucks (tm)
