Jay Ajayi

Conner would be the lead back. I actually like our 1-2 of Conner and Samuels. Both can run and catch. Ridley can as well. I can see them sticking with what they have and just taking a flyer on a later round pick at RB.

Agree there. It would be nice to have a fast Willie type guy back there to complement Conner and Samuels. I would take a backfield like that any day.
 
I think with our OLine, a healthy Ajayi is more effective than Conner on 1st and 2nd downs.

Uh... and you base that on... Conner's ypr average, which are as good as if not better than Bells?

Maybe you're thinking about the numerous times Conner broke big running plays?

Perhaps you're downgrading him due to his ability to truck safeties and corners as he picks up an additional 3 to 30 yards...

Or maybe you're just basing your entire opinion on the fact that Ajayai had ONE really great game against the Steelers and a relatively good game in a SB. Would that be it?
 
I'd bring a grinder to rest Conner in those obvious short downs that will be a power run inside the tackles

Haven't been following so I don't know much about Todd Gurley's health, but if CJ Anderson goes off in the Super Bowl, he may be too expensive.

Which further ticks me off we never kicked his tires when he was on his couch when Conner went down. Could of had him for almost nothing. I'm sure he would be cheaper than $14M/yr, though.
 
We should make a run at Le'Veon Bell.
 
Jay Ajayi is total Trash even when 100%, What makes you want him, the fact that he couldn't outplay 3 journeymen and a 38 year old Darren Sproles?

replace ridley with TJ yeldon

if AB is traded we need to balance a more 55-45 pass to run ratio and with these 3 backs you have a workhorse a versatile back that can line up all ober at TE WR RB FB and with yeldon a solid short yardage back and one that will give us a great screen RB since fast Willie, last year 2018 bortles safety valve was Yeldon on screens, hard to bring down and good vision.

I actually like the Bengals backup rb,Bernard. He was a 2nd round pick and is more of a scat back. I hope he gets reelased
 
Draft a guy that can play RB and contribute on special teams as the #3. Or find some FB/H-Back guy in the draft(like samuels) that you feel can occasionally take a few carries. Also you can coach switzer up probably to take a limited role.

I'd settle for two of the DEFENSIVE players being coached up over switzer..!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our coach doesn't seem to "coach up" anybody so how is this going to work for switZ army knife???
