Jason Worilds retiring

I always felt drafting him was a big mistake. Resigning him would have been a bigger one. His bizarre retirement just proves my point. I'll never forget when Woodson announced this pick I was like "WHO? WTF!" Who did we miss out on that was picked after him?

The Steelers had a dire need at ILB and a 1st rd grade on Sean Lee

That is not always true.

This ia ALWAYS true, move near where SD steel lives. You won't pay a state income tax and a side benefite is, he can show you where all the good flocks, hang out.

Perhaps Howard Jones or Zumwaldt have something we haven't yet seen?

Sean Lee, who's about an injury away from being on the retired list himself.

He's a PSU guy. That's enough for some. If you look at his career numbers in tackles and sacks or even look at them season by season. I don't see where he deserves all the love he gets from a portion of the posters here. As a matter of fact, since he's about Shazier's size (6-2, 232 for Lee and 6-1, 237 Shazier) if the Steelers had drafted him, I wonder if people would have been hollering for them to move him to Safety. lol

He was a bad football player, but glad he has something of meaning in his life

Funny how his announcement came after the first day of free agency. Maybe he is disappointed in the results, and this is how he reacts.

That's kinda what MM was saying on the radio yesterday. If he wanted to retire he could have done that any time. IIRC, the only other team that showed any interest was the Giants and I think they were around $4 or $5 mill a year. Again, I don't think he was a bad player but he was an average player and deserves average money.

So from three consecutive drafts now ('08, '09, '10) we have two players left? Do I have that right?

I hope Colbert is ONLY making average or below average money........

Some guy from the NFL Network reported that the Giants and Steelers told him that his salary demands were too high......

I said it before we tagged him last year that I wouldn't pay him more than 3.5 mill a year and many laughed. Yeah well it looks like that's exactly where the market for him is
