jhharrison92I came home to find out that my boys received two trophies for nothing, participation trophies! While I am very proud of my boys for everything they do and will encourage them till the day I die, these trophies will be given back until they EARN a real trophy. I'm sorry I'm not sorry for believing that everything in life should be earned and I'm not about to raise two boys to be men by making them believe that they are entitled to something just because they tried their best...cause sometimes your best is not enough, and that should drive you to want to do better...not cry and whine until somebody gives you something to shut u up and keep you happy. #harrisonfamilyvalues

I firggin love this!

My son has two places where he puts trophies: 1) proudly displayed in the living room and 2) in a box in the basement. All we told him was the ones you earn go in the living room and the others go in the basement.

He also knows that we really don't give a crap if he wins/loses at anything as long as it was his best effort.

We didn't even have to tell our kids this. They don't give a rat's *** about the participation trophies and ribbons but the ones they got from actually winning something are proudly displayed. Kids know the difference from a very young age.

Just threw away a bunch of the participation ones this week as a matter of fact, lol.

Yeah, all liberals love "participation trophies" and all neocons are racist....I love political bullshit stereotypes. Talk about pc. Everything has to fit into a neat little box...**** all that.
 
I mostly agree with Deebo. I don't have a problem with younger kids getting participation ribbons though. say 2nd grade or younger, but it is a problem when they continue to do that up though jr high etc.
 
I can't believe how much attention this "story" received nationally.
 
You know what, for the first time I am mad at Harrison... I mean I agree with his stance 100% and those trophies are stupid and demeaning, but now I am going to hear this fluff piece of **** story 45 times throughout the season from every damn announcer who covers them... maybe twice each... damn non football stories during football season... ******* Harrison better get 10 sacks to make this up to me ;)
 
I just read an article showing the trophy makers point of view. Of coarse the condem Deebo for his stance and have all kinds of how good it is for the kids. Bottom line, is their bottom line. Harrison is correct, to many liberals want to round peg everything.

It will beat the living **** out of another marsha** was not cheating story by the hacks from espn that those brain dead morons from the national pool keep spouting. You want proof that QBs are not the smartest guys on the team compare the ex qbs to Rod Woodson, Merill Hodge, or Tunch and Wolf. Even with their hommer point of view they beat the **** out of those brain dead apple polishers.

Another reason I hate them is three kids participating in dozens of activities through the years = mounds of plastic junk that they don't even want. Keep your trophy and knock 10 bucks off of their participation fee.
