With 2 sacks yesterday James Harrison now has 76.5 sacks as a Steeler in the regular season. He is currently 1/2 sack behind Jason Gildon for the all time lead in sacks by a player. He will tie the record with a half sack, and own it outright with a solo sack.

It would be an excellent accomplishment for an accomplished player, and would also give him a little extra clout in one day potentially earning a HOF jacket.

Way to go Silverback! Get one more for us!

I hope he gets it! We might have seen his last great game yesterday.

Here's to JAMES HARRISON !!!!!! May he get that solo sack in his next appearance !!!!!!

Salute the nation

He's about the only one that understands the rivalry with the Ratbirds and accordingly shows up every time.

Don't worry... we still have 2 games against the Browns coming up.

Harrison was dominant for several seasons and is just now catching up to Gildon. Not many like to give Gildon a lot of credit, but he had an impressive career to lead the Steelers in sacks. However, I would love to see Harrison break this record. The guy was born to be a linebacker for the Steelers.

If the OT's wouldn't be allowed to block him around the neck he'd have 150 sacks. I hope he gets it at home vs Dallas.

Well deserved by one of the hardest working players to ever lace them up. He'll get the record and then some.

I truly hope he gets the record, he has earned it. I doubt we see him after this year and he will be missed.

After JAMES is gone, who else is left that would have been "COWHER" players?? I know Ben Rothlesberger is one. Timmons??? Gregg Warren???

PS. AGAIN, James is one of the ALL TIME STEELERS Players ever. Yes, he could play in many "ERA"s of football. Could you just imagine..... I hope he gets the record and passes it by a few before end of season. I don't want to see a Brett Fabre / Michael strahan type sack, but a bone crushing knock the snot out of t*mmy b*y sack in the playoffs at gillet stadium. One that is so hard it actually gets the head sets working properly and of course it Silents the MASSHOLES in definately.

I hope to see him do it.

Timmons was Tomlin's first pick. Warren and Ben played for Cowher.

Was Dick Lebeau calling the plays?

That's what our defense used to look like! Kudos to James Harrison breakng franchise record for sacks.

Nothing makes me prouder for his accomplishments. He is my favorite defensive LB ever. Tough to pass Lambert, and Lloyd in my book, but he has in my mind! Much love Silverback, and you will retire ON TOP!

What a testament to JAMES HARRISON !!!!!! One of the greatest all time STEELERS players ever and there has been some GREAT ones along the way. Imagine if choking tackles were actually holding calls that were called fairly, DEBO would have all world astronomical sack numbers. Here to you Mr. James Harrison HERE HERE

Salute the nation and MR. JAMES HARRISON

It was as if Dick LeBeau was calling the plays.

Ah, this is what or defense used to be. Stunts, DB blitzes, and keeping the OL guessing. Where has it been? For a moment if felt good to have a defense Steeler fans are accustomed to and Harrison breaking the franchise record for sacks was the icing on the cake.

Against the Cleveland Browns, let's keep that much in perspective. Like Boomer said on post game, whoever their OC is, it is totally uncoordinated.

Boomer hates the Steelers but he's right. Cleveland is a joke of a team. A complete mess.
